DW

The latest advancement in bass-pedal technology.

To create incredibly smooth, gravity-defying action, the DW 9000PB Single Pedal has a Floating Rotor that's not permanently affixed on a conventional drive shaft but is mounted on a free-floating drive shaft using friction-reducing ball bearings. In addition, the patented rotor can be adjusted using the Infinite Torque Adjustment for a variety of positions from center (Turbo-style) to eccentric (Accelerator-style), achieving the desired balance of power and precision in any playing situation. Furthermore, by moving the location of the Floating Spring from the end of the hex shaft to the center of the pedal, the vertical alignment of the moving parts is maintained and the indirect transfer and loss of energy is virtually eliminated - further optimizing the pedal's speed and power and precision.

In addition to Delta ball-bearings at the rocker, hex shaft, and hinge, the 9000 also employs friction-reducing ball-bearings in the rotor and spring connector while incorporating several of the 5000 Series' most popular upgrades such as a stackable heel plate, dual/side adjusting hoop clamp, 101 2-way beater, built-in spurs, and lightweight aluminum pedal plates and linkages. Includes deluxe Cordura bag.

This is the very best pedal on the market. I have read some of the negetive reviews. They are only negetive due to the fact the owner knows nothing of adjusting this pedal to their liking. There are ajustments on this pedal you will find no where else. I only gave the "Value" a 4 due to the price, however if you can step up to this "tank" of a pedal.....get it. I've had this thing for about 6 months and I have had no mercy on it, gigging it, moving it, and of course playing it....Best single pedal I have ever had.....period!!

I bought this pedal based on the rave reviews.  What a mistake!  I wish now that I'd tried it first.  That's clearly my own fault, but to protect future buyers from the same fate as my own, I'll say this: there is NO ROOM for adjustment with this pedal.  It is remarkably unresponsive considering the price and hype.  I sold this one and bought a yamaha 7210, which is not only a fifth of the price, yet it is much more conducive to dynamic playing.  Not the pedal for me, and I would suggest trying before buying, which is always the best way to go.

I recently purchased this pedal after playing on a TAMA Glide Pedal for years.  I use to think a pedal didn't make that much of a difference, not anymore. By no stretch of the imagination this DW pedal is far superior to any pedal I've ever played on.  Finally a pedal that can articulate every pattern I'm laying down.  I literally took this pedal out the box, raised the foot board, loosened the tension spring and it was on.  I will say this pedal is so fluid I have to get use to playing on it.  My doubles are so fast I sometimes think I only played a single.  Real Talk.  If you can afford it get it, you won't be sorry.  .

My wife stepped up to the plate and surprised me with a new DW 9000! I have been happily using a DW 4000 forever but dreamed of the mighty 9K. Everything about the 9K is as advertised; my foot was at one with the pedal. It simply floats under your foot. I LOVE IT! BUT!!! Last night in the middle of playing a TOP tune with my cover band it broke! The spring broke!! I'm gonna get it fixed when I can find the parts, but it BROKE!! I am not happy right now at all but I will get it fixed as soon as I can find the parts and nervously use it again.

I've owned a DW 4000, a Ludwig Speed King, and now this pedal. The DW 9000 is, without a doubt, the best of the three--no surprise there. I bought an opened item so I could live with the price; after trying it, I still think the same. If I had to absolutely buy shrinkwrap-new, I'd go for a DW 5000, not sure whether Turbo or Accelerator without trying first.
