OVERVIEW

Create independent shaker rhythms with each finger.

LP's original One Shot Shaker was a revolution in shaker design. With its single live striking area, it gave percussionists the ability to play complex rhythms with a precision that was previously impossible with traditional shakers. The LP Finger Shot Shaker scales down that same concept, giving a new definition to the term "hand percussion." Price includes one Finger Shot. Buy two for a fuller effect!

In essence, the Finger Shot is a mini versions of the One Shot Shaker, designed to attach easily to a player's fingers by means of elastic ribbons. Rhythmic patterns can be created simply by moving the hands up and down in the air. The more a Finger Shot is used; the louder and more distinctive the shaker sound.

The Finger Shot is also perfect for adding a subtle nuance to rhythms played on congas, bongos, or a cajon. The miniature size of the Finger Shot lets it make its musical contribution without interfering with the player's drumming technique.

LP Finger shots are just the thing to help fill the void of not having a high pitched rythm sound, like a hi hat, when playing cajon, conga, or djembe in place of a drum set. Like the One Shot, these only play on one surface, the sound eminates at the point of impact when the drum head (or an other surface) is struck. These are small and not very loud, but the sound does cut through in an acoustic environment. Miced, they sound great!. Good feel, fairly comfortable, won't harm drums as the shaker never comes in contact with the head. A word of caution; If you play hard, you may want to pad the back of the Finger shot in order to protect the nuckle side of your fingers.
Fun addition to any percussionists bag o' tricks, or as a stand alone instrument when played in pairs.

Works for hand drumming, But...

These are soft shakers that work well when one's palms are pointed down while playing, i.e. on hand drums. They are almost inaudible when used while holding drum sticks.

A great addition to your hand perscussion!

By Richard Johnson

Comments about LP Finger Shot Shaker:

Amazing little devices that can add so much to your sound.
I purchased these purely on a whim, and used them while playing bongos in an acoustic setting. The sound coming through the PA made people sit up and notice. More than one person asked how I was able to get the shaker sound while using both hands on the bongos. This is one of the best, lowest cost investments one can make in hand percussion.
Extremely good.
You double your sound for just a few dollars. Can't beat it!

One Shot Finger Shakers

Comments about LP Finger Shot Shaker:

These are worth having for sure. Adds a dimension to hand percussion...a clever idea. The squared, flat shape is not exactly "ergonomic". They can flop around a bit if you are slapping. Definitely worth having.
Ten bucks for a pair...not bad at all.

Comments about LP Finger Shot Shaker:

These are a must have, especially for the price. I use them when I play Cajon and am really enjoying them!

The only downside I have run into is that they are not super comfortable after a while when only strapped to one finger and are much more confortable when strapped across two fingers to disperse the force on the back of the fingers when slapping. Having two fingers tied together in this manner can be limiting to certain finger techniques.

Other than that minor detail, I am really enjoying the set I bought!

Barely audible unless you are drumming really hard. Then the square corners hurt.

Comments about LP Finger Shot Shaker:

I use Vador Monster brushes on my cajon and add two/three fingershots to each brush for a change of effect. I have taken the padding and small shot out of a couple and added Daisey BB's for a louder sound.
