OVERVIEW

Small in size, yet big on sound.

The Micro Snare Drum features a small 6" x 3-1/2" shell that produces a huge sound. This LP snare also features a quick-release on-off lever that engages, or disengages snare wires, bringing either a snare effect, or a mini-timbale effect to life. The result is a crisp snare or timbale effect that cuts with authority.

The LP Micro Snare Drum is a great add-on for any drum set player or percussionist, and it even has applications on the marching field. Mount your LP Micro Snare Drum on most bar-type holders or clamp it on 3/8" to 1/2" bars.

Comments about LP Micro Snare Drum:

Nice little addition to my kit. Built like a rock. Great for percussion mainly, however has a nice snare sound also. Not loud and that would be why I would suggest using it mainly for percussion assistance and add on.

    great auxiliary snare

Comments about LP Micro Snare Drum:

i bought this looking for a small auxiliary snare drum, and let me say that i love it.. when struck in the sweetspot with a rimshot it has a crack just as loud as my usual snare drum.. and with the snares off it has a great timbale affect. it has a great pop to it.

    Snap, crackle, pop!

Comments about LP Micro Snare Drum:

Snap, crackle, pop! Buy the LP Micro Snare. Only had it a short while but really enjoy playing it!!Maybe a little pricey - and I only say that due to it's small size. But, again this makes it mountable almost anywhere. Quality - great, heavy materials. Drum key tunable - convenient, nice touch. Nice high pitch crack for accents. Sounds almost like a small Scottish Pipe Band snare. Turn off the snares and you get a micro timbale effect.

    Unimpressed

    By LP man-HzCwp

Comments about LP Micro Snare Drum:

I have been strictly an LP percussionist for over 10 years, but they need to stick with the basics...This drum in so unimpressive. First of all it is built like a timbale, no bottom head which takes away from what I think they would like this drum to be, which is an aux snare. The snare wires are that of a snare cajon. A brush style snare wire system that touches the head, but does not go across, so there is no adjustments you can do to it. I have tried every kind of tuning, and I cannot get a good sound out of it. The sweet spot is not in the center It is more towards the back of the drum where you mount it, like 1/4 from the rim. I will admit I wanted to add this to my current percussion set up, and be able to use it with a stomp box and high hats to get a kit sound with my hand drums, but this will not work for that.Over all, this is what I would suggest, test it somewhere first like in a store, it may be ok for some, but not for me....the one thing good is that it is a solid built drum, Very heavy and very sturdy, it will take a lot of abuse...
