I bought this jam block to use instead of cross sticking, and it does it's job. It's a lot higher pitch than a cross stick, but you really hear it when playing a ride or closed hi hat, sometimes it's hard to hit at the right spot because it's so small, the orange color makes it look cool, and the sound is very loud. Good price for a good jam block.

I had previously bought the Low Pitched Jam Block (Red one) just to have a cool effect added to my kit and fell in love with it. I saw this small orange one at the store and just couldn't resist hitting it. It is awesome!!! don't let the small size fool you...it's as loud as the big ones and it has a great high pitched sound getting pretty close to a snare click! and not to mention it is nearly UNDESTRUCTIBLE, it looks pretty cool as an add-on for your kit. The only reason I don't give it a full 5.0 rating is because I believe it's a little pricey (for a small piece of plastic) but still worth every penny! You won't regret getting one of this!!!
