    Originally intended as an inexpensive drum for educational purposes in the golden era of the '60s, the Ludwig Acrolite snare drum is a classic piece of the Ludwig product lineup. This new age version of the drum features a matte-finished Aluminum shell with chrome 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops, classic bowtie lugs, P-85 strainer, milled center bead and Black/White badge. The drum offers a warm and dry tone, but provides a generous cut for variation with tuning and heads.

    Good drum, but

    Has an open sound, rimshots are really loud. Bright and sensitive. I would probably recommend the Supraphonic, or get this used for cheap

      I have been playing drums for about 40 years, I have owned lots of snare drums. This has a sweet sound, you can tune it high and have a crack sound or you can tune it medium and have a little ring. I really like this drum and I will keep it forever thank you.
