    Comments about Meinl Slap-Top Cajon:

When playing a traditional cajon, i feel too uncomfortable and hunched over. The slap top is perfect for sitting in an upright position. The snare sound is great. The bass could be deeper, but i understand why it is not and can live with it. Sounds great when sitting around camp fires or at open-mic night backing up the acoustic guitars. Very Cool Instrument.

      Comments about Meinl Slap-Top Cajon:

I'm a keyboard player who started out as a drummer. I bought this last month in the hopes of bringing it to the gig and adding some percussion sounds. I also added a wood castanet and jingle castanet that I mounted to each side. This thing sounds great. I set it right on my stool and play it standing up. Depending on the size of the room, I may or may not mike it up. Everyone else in the band wants to play my new toy. Now I'm able to do acoustic gigs with the band when they don't need a drummer or keys.

      Comments about Meinl Slap-Top Cajon:

I am a conga player so this was a bit of a transition, especially with the addition of the snare aspect, but with a little more practice I think I will enjoy playing this unique instrument.

        Comments about Meinl Slap-Top Cajon:

I use this cajon in the classroom and church to accompany singing and teach rhythm. The versalitily of either playing in the lap for older children or sitting the instrument on the floor for smaller children is great. Have bought 6-7 and are very happy with them

          Comments about Meinl Slap-Top Cajon:

This is the first time I have seen such a thing, since I am use to the standard cajon. Performed great, easy to adjust to, and feels just like drumming with my hands on a table top! Great for acoustic sessions, and campfire jams.

            Comments about Meinl Slap-Top Cajon:

Very nice product by Meinl. It has three different sounds-a kick, a snare, and a bongo type sound. Very useful for acoustic gigs. Takes a little bit to figure out what height you need to sit to have feel nice, but after that it feels amazing to play. I would recommend this to anybody.

                Comments about Meinl Slap-Top Cajon:

This unit has very good sound for a small piece. I was pleased with the unit in general BUT, if you are left handed beware. The snare is located for a right handed player and turning it around puts the sound hole facing you. If your playing style is right handed or ambidextrous no worries.

Awesome to carry along for acoustic sets. Perfect "laptop drum set". Love all the available sounds a timbers in one small instrument. Also love the playing position. love not having to bend over to play it. Very comfortable.

My wife bought me the Slap-Top Cajon after seeing it in a local box store and it is awesome. I enjoy playing it around the house for leisure and hoping to use it in the church band. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a small instrument with large sound.
