Didn't Meet My Needs

Comments about Ortega Horse Kick Pro Digital Guitarist Stomp Box with 5 Samples:

I was looking for a way to add some live percussion to my acoustic playing. The feature of being in line with the guitar and not taking a separate input port was important and worked as advertised. However, I found it hard to get a consistent beat, in that if my foot moved off a certain spot, it wouldn't keep the same volume of sound, and some times the sound was not heard at all. I tried it both with the front of my foot (which can get tiring), and my heel. The cowbell probably produced the most consistent sound. It seems like you may need to raise the foot completely off each time, so it works better at slower beats but not when you need to go up tempo. I am still looking for a solution.
