Comments about Paiste 2002 Heavy Hi-Hat (Pair):

I own a 14" pair of these, and they are very good cymbals. The open slosh may not be as great as with the 2002 Sound Edge (SE) hats, but I may prefer them to the SE overall. They give a more solid and crisp open-and-close, which is very important to me, and the chick sound is tighter and more controlled. I would compare these to Zildjian New Beats as great go-to, all-purpose hi-hats. Highly recommended.

Comments about Paiste 2002 Heavy Hi-Hat (Pair):

Or at least it says so in my 2010 Paiste catalog, which gives his 1972 cymbal setup. I traded pair of used A Customs for a mid-90s pair of these (14"s) that had been set aside for a while; both traders couldn't be happier. I don't know if the current ones are heavier than mine (website says MH/H), but mine do not seem heavy at all. And if you read the reviews on the medium 2002s, several mention cracking (website says those are M/M). Don't expect to crack these as I am not heavy hitter. These are the ne plus ultra of B8 alloy sound. Clean, crisp, classic. Those stick chicks at the beginning of ?Back in Black?? Paiste 2002. Everyone goes for the Sound Edges because of Bonzo, but these are just as tasty. Usually I rate Paiste a shade lower on Value, but look, these are same price as a pair of A Customs, $20 more than a pair of A?s. Those are great too. I think drummers should have both B8s and B20s if they can afford to; more colors to paint with.

            Heavy and crisp

Comments about Paiste 2002 Heavy Hi-Hat (Pair):

I have owned this cymbals for about two weeks. The quality is very good from what I can see. These cymbals have a really loud, crisp sound when using the pedal. The sound when the hitting and opening them up also is crisp and loud, very nice. When hitting them closed they sound a little too heavy for my taste. Overall I like how they sound.

            Paiste 2002 heavy hi hat

Comments about Paiste 2002 Heavy Hi-Hat (Pair):

Played these for 30 years in covers and original bands. Don't be put out by them being heavy weight. I've played these from soft to loud volume, consistantly good for rock, country, M.O.R, blues etc. Nice warm feel and yet cut through of just slosh along when open.Only beef is after hearing a set of sound edges they were better. I compensated by drilling 4 holes in the bottom cymbal, they are excellent, yet to find any better...classics.

            Great hI hats

Comments about Paiste 2002 Heavy Hi-Hat (Pair):

I had the Zildjian planet Zs from my starter kit and my Dad, who now sticks to percussion then drumming, lent me these hi hats., And MAN did I notice the diffrence in quality! From the first hit i could tell they were good - and they take quite a bashing too! Yet they still remain as solid as ever!I reccomend these symbols but the 2002 range is a pricey one! But these hi hats go quite nicely with my 18" thin PST 5 pAIsTe crash! So if it is a choice between these and something else... go for the 2002s! No doubt - superb!

Comments about Paiste 2002 Heavy Hi-Hat (Pair):

I have alot of Paiste and Zildjian Hi-hats. These by far I feel are the best. They are so perfect in sound, its everything I ever wanted in a pair of Hi-Hats. The chick and open & closed sound are just right. The paiste 2002 "14" Heavy Hi-hats give out the perfect sound for ANY Type of music. However, it's all about personal perfrence. But these are my Hi-hats of chioce.
