      Paiste

A versatile crash that works well at louder styles and volumes.

The Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal is a bit heavier than the standard 2002 Crash, while remaining very balanced with a full and rich tone. Nice ride sound in larger venues.

Made with CuSn8 bronze for a bright, warm, and energetic tone. Great for live and studio gigs requiring high energy and the utmost in precision and musicality. Heavier models have been added to round out the original classic series by providing increased volume.

Swallow the room with quick, explosive sound. Order now.

Tommy Aldridge, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Ian Paice, Nick Mason, Alex Van Halen, and I, along with countless other classic rock and metal drummers, use paiste 2002's. I bought the 18" medium and i now swear by paiste. Zildjians were what i was playing before, and im glad i took a chance and bought paiste. Its not a chance, its an investment. Paiste does not accept as many variations in sound and thickness as zildjian, there cymbals are made for recording or stage use. Paistes in general, are more expensive, however, that extra cash buys better quality and better sound. I gave this cymbal a 10 for value because i strongly believe that this cymbal is worth the extra cash. If youre a serious drummer, paiste is the only way to go. Try out paiste, you'll see, hear and feel the differnce. Plus the finsh on them is beautiful and does not show scratches and fingerprints as much as zildjians. If you play classic rock, your not a true classic rock drummer without this.

I have these on my Ludwig set and I'm not in love with them. They do sound very vintage, but I don't care for the sound or feel of them. So I guess they're okay if you are truley set on having your drum set sound like it's from the '60s, including the bad qualities. It's kind of a weird feeling when hitting them, not much rebound, kind of dead. Also, the coating comes off very quickly. So overall, they are what they say they are, but just be sure that's what you're really after.

      Entire set of 2002

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I recently got back into playing drums after a ten year layoff. I bought a PDP Platinum kit, and I needed a nice set of cymbals. I went with the Paiste 2002 series.. a 16", 18", 20" crash, with a 24" ride and SoundEdge 14" hats. These cymbals have a bright warm tone and sounds amazing. They are also the most beautiful cymbals on the market. They have a unique color and just shimmer. They aren't cheap but cymbals last quite awhile if you take care of them, so in the long run they are worth it.

      well worth the price

These cymbals are amazing! I own an 18" and a 20" and they're just incredible. I used to own a set of zildjian ZHT's, and as soon as I put the 2002's on I could immediately hear a difference on the overall full sound. Also, I've heard about 2002's supposedly breaking/cracking quickly, but for the life of me, I don't see how it would happen unless your extremely angry and go crazy on your cymbals to relieve some stress.

Been playing A Zildjians for a while, always wanted a 2002 but was always a few dollars shy when buying pro-level cymbals, ya know. Anyway, I finally took the plunge, and...WOW. So bright, cutting, clear, and full. Not as warm and washy as my A's, but it CUTS. I'm switching to Paiste!!!

      Great Cymbal

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I've had this cymbal (16") for a year now and absolutely love it. A fairly heavy hitter, I've yet to crack a cymbal, but this thing takes everything I give it and asks for more. It cuts through the mix like a hot knife through soft butter, which is good because it's not the loudest cymbal, though it's certainly not quiet by any means. It's a bright, shimmery cymbal that's perfect to ride on and use for accents. It is very versatile, very sensitive, and has a great feel to it. It actually compliments the Zildjian A Custom Medium series very well, so even if you don't have another Paiste on your kit, chances are this will fit in nice and snug-like regardless! One of my favorite cymbals.

      GREAT SOUNDING CYMBAL!

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I've had this cymbal for about 2 weeks now and its amazing. It's really loud and has a bit darker tone from my other crashes. This is by far the best sounding cymbal I've ever owned. It's not suprising that Bonzo had this on his set.

      Piaste forever!

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I've been using Paiste stuff for almost all of my life since I was kid. I loe them for their full, heavy and warm sound. 2,5 years ago I bought 2002 Full Crash 18" (unfortunately discontinued cymbal) and this 18" medium crash is the great couple for my 18" Full crash. It's sounds really awesome! Paiste Forever!PS BTW, it sounds great also with 2002 China 18"!

      2002's are incredible

      By Steve-lQVwL

      from Frankfort, IN

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

I bought this medium 2002 cymbal after getting disgusted with any kind of zildjian cymbal cracking after only a year or so of playing. So without further ado lets get down to it. Paiste is the best brand. Period. You can not find a better sounding cymbal. The 2002 line is incredible. These cymbals will not break. They are thick, but they are still crisp and bright, they shimmer and they have a very nice long and full decay. They work great in any situation; metal, rock, worship, etc. and not too mention that they are beautiful cymbals too! Who cares about spending a few dollars on a cymbal, if you are a serious cymbal Paiste is the ONLY serious choice!

      classic paiste quality

Comments about Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is amazing. Durable, versatile, rich, controllable... the list goes on. I have tried my different cymbals but this crash does it all. I have the 18" and it's the only crash on my kit so naturally it gets a lot of use. It has lasted longer than any sabian i've ever had, and it's sound actually improves day to day.. which seems odd, but it's true. Never been happier with a cymbal. More of a 'high' crash for sound, high wash, long sustain.
