Overall, this cymbal is amazing for the price and i would recomend it to anyone wanting a good ride.
the cymbal is great for a ride, not so much as a crash. The crash part can be used as an effect as needed. the body of the cymbal is a bright but not very bright sound. the bell has a nice ping and also I sort of bright sounding. the crash part is very... explosive? altho it works great when played with another cymbal at the same time, not so much on its own.
the quality is great! its thick so its durable, it looks amazing as well.
It is a great value for someone just needing a cymbal to get by with some gigs. Or for someone looking for a bright ride and is on a low buget.

I started out liking it when I bought it, I thought it was the coolest thing being able to ride and crash on the same cymbal. But once I heard good crashes and good rides (and good rides that could be crashed on), I realized that this guy wasn't too great. Sure it serves its purpose, decent ride with a little less decent crash, but just save a little more money and get either a good crash or a good ride. If you're looking for the 2-in-1 cymbal, try a thinner ride that you could crash on, like the Sabian AAX stage ride or something in that area (not to be biased :P)

This cymbal lasted me about a year and now its got a 3 inch crack in it. The sound is ok, but would I recommend the 20 Inch pst5 ride it has a much better sound.

I bought this cymbal in March of this year. It has served me well through 6 studio dates and practices, and probably 30 shows! I just recently found a 2 1/2 inch crack at the bell. I am not by any means a "power hitter" But I do hit with tact I suppose! Over all it's a great sounding crash. It's not a good ride though. It's also not as loud as my 16 in PST-5 rock crash! But than again you get what you pay for! All in all it's a great cymbal if you are on a budget! I have since upgraded all of my cymbals to the Paiste PST-5 Rock series!! they are Awesome period!

I have had a cymbal for almost 2 years now and its still holding up great. I hit pretty hard and this cymbal takes it like it's nothing. I wouldnt personally use it as a ride I like to use it as more of a side or groove crash. Sounds amazing for the price tag. It has no signs of any cracking or denting so far but ya overall I rate it a 5/5!! Great cymbal for anyone who wants a good quality cymbal! Paiste makes amazing cymbals!!
Comments about Paiste PST 3 Crash/Ride:
For the money the cymbal is realy good. The center has a nice bell tone to it. The ride is good for being an 18 " crash/ride. The crash sound isn't that great on it. I have had mine for about two years and play on weekly and it still is in good shape.
Comments about Paiste PST 3 Crash/Ride:
I've had this cymbal for three years now. It came with my first drum set I bought. The bell of this cymbal is freakin amazing. And its great for crash ride combinations. I counted eight different cracks in this thing ranging from 1/4 to 1 inch. The cymbal still sounds awesome. The cracks give it a cool sizzle sound. I still gig with this cymbal. If you want a great cymbal, BUY THIS. just don't hit a hard as me (really hard:-)
Comments about Paiste PST 3 Crash/Ride:
This cymbal is an outstanding value for the money. It has a crystal clear ping sound with a very bright musical underlying wash. The bell has a very clear and distinct sound. Although this is touted as a cymbal for beginners, I have heard and played cymbals that cost 3-4 times as much that didn't sound nearly as good. Excellent cymbal for the money.
