Comments about Paiste Rude Hi-hats:

Perfects set of hi hats for a serious drummer. I used these one time for a gig (a friend let me use) and I have to say I just Love these hi hats. They're great for all types of styles of music.

Not as loud and heavy as advertised

Comments about Paiste Rude Hi-hats:

I have used mostly Zildjian hats for the last 25 years and used RUDEs for my crashes and Rides. I finally got my first set of RUDE hats and was totally surprised at the sound and feel. First off. These hats are very light, I kid you not! They are much lighter that Zildjian New Beats. The top hat is about half the weight of a New Beat top. It is so thin it works as a thin crash without problem. They remind me of Light hats from the 60s. Volume wise these are no where near as loud as advertised. Most of the Reviews here are from newbies that must be using them in their bedroom at home with Mom and Dad, because they are at least half as loud as my New Beats, K Hats, or Rock Hats. They are totally dry and funky. Well suited for jazz and funk. They still are good for Rock, but are not really up to the volume of the other RUDE cymbals. A better RUDE hat is two RUDE bottom hats or two 14-15" Crash/Rides, or bottom Soundedge RUDE with Bottom standard RUDE hat, brighter sound, louder, and stronger. Durability: I have spoke with many drummers that have cracked top RUDE hats. I now understand why, they are not heavy enough to be thrashed and will crack easily if pounded on regularly. Soundedge RUDE hats? Even more likely to crack due to the empty space when played closed. Even with all I have said I still love them, great funky dry sound. But be aware, if you are a heavy hitter you WILL BREAK THE TOP HAT, sooner or later.

    Comments about Paiste Rude Hi-hats:

This was my dream. I made a custom set of Rudes starting with the hi-hat. I learned by heart all the advices from paiste for proper use and even though I didn't like that the hi-hat also mustn't be tight I let it all the way free, I use only tama hardware. Still at the beginning I noticed early stage of keyholing of the top hi-hat and I was like - WHATD? I contacted paiste support and they told me that the warranty won't cover this up since it was not used correctly. And I played for about 2 years more until now aaand here it is - the first crack on the hole. I do not play metal. I play rock, funk-rock, punk-rock, swing, reggae and experimental music with electronics. I am selling this fake stuff though the sound is pretty cool I must admit.

    Comments about Paiste Rude Hi-hats:

I just bought a few RUDE cymbals including 2 crashes a ride and hats and OMG are they awsome.I'm a hard drummer with alot of experience and I've played alot of types of cymbals but these gotta be the toughest I've ever played. I love them and recommend them to any drummers that are sick of busting up there cymbals after just a few months.

    Comments about Paiste Rude Hi-hats:

These sound better every time I use them! Compared to other high-quality hi-hats these are not that expensive. But if price is an issue for you I promise you will not be disappointed you purchased these. They can pierce through anything with ease.

    Comments about Paiste Rude Hi-hats:

Hey guys I bought em to complete my full set of Rudes, I like em but after trying out a pair of studio Zildjian hi-hats at MF, I have to say it's a toss up. I own the Rudes now but if they crack I will buy the Zildjian studios next time............

The BEST cymbals money can buy!

    By DrumGod-4Mu6e

    from NYC

    Comments about Paiste Rude Hi-hats:

I'm a pro drummer and Paiste cymbals were recommended to me by none other than drum legend Rick Allen, of Def Leppard. He used Paiste Rude cymbals during the recording of the Pyromania album and he told me that I should give them a try. The Rude series is a little different from what he used in the early 80's, but in my opinion they sound just as good if not better. I've used Zildjian and Sabian, and these Paiste cymbals blow them away in every catagory. If you can afford these, by all means buy them because you will never tire of their great sound. I've used them on my band's last tour and they did not let me down.

They are ALOT better than Zildjians by far. I have used Zildjians and I don't like how they sound. These hi-hats are sweet!
