HOW SWEET IT IS!

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

I've been a drummer for nearly 4 decades and have owned several rides over the years, including Zildjian A's and K's and Sabian AA's and HH's, all of which were fine instruments. But this Paiste Signature Full Ride is in a class by itself. It's the most responsive cymbal I've ever played. Merely touching it with the stick makes it sing, and it doesn't build up annoying overtones. This one I shall take to the grave (but pass it on to my son before they bury me!!!)

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

i have owned the 21" now for almost 10 years. as i have smashed and killed many other cymbals in that time this one remains strong and still looks great. it really is a perfect all around ride. iv played it along side a number or different cymbal combinations. A customs, many different AAX models and other paiste cymbals its it blends well with all of them. it can be a bit overpowering sometimes as it is quite loud! i know its a bit pricey, i was able to afford it when i had a bit more secure income and boy am i glad that i did.

Great All Rounder

By Blooddrummer

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

I am a die hard Zildjian fan so I dont really care about other brands. A few month ago I bought a Drumset and I got a few Paiste cymbals with it including this one. From the moment I started playing it, I loved it. I am in a metal band and this cymbal is amazing. It cuts Through anything and it is the perfect cymbal for blue and jazz. And it does not build up any annoying overtones.

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

I've always been a fan of larger rides so i was a bit skeptical getting this particular 20 incher.i decided going for the 20 listening the paiste sound clips on their site.all i can say is I'm in 20 inch ride heaven!this thing is really a joy to play.its versitility is amazing! One of the things i really enjoy about this cymbal is you can lay into it and build the wash up and its still very controlable and sounds great.it borders on being a great crash with all the benefits of of a ride.the bell is also quite nice and does a good job in its own right.if theres one thing that i wish this cymbal had,it would be to have a bit more ping to it.but overall i couldn't be happier with this cymbal.its a keeper in my arsenal of rides!

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

I own full setups of Zildjian "A"s and "K"s as well as Paiste "2002"s. But, my Paiste Signature setup is my favorite. The full ride is the foundation of this line. As for them being a bit pricey, this is your chance to own the Ferrari of cymbals for a few hundred dollars.

Very Musical cymbal

By lateralus12501@yahoo.com

from Holyoke, MA

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

I bought this cymbal a while ago from this very site. It is exactly like its name implies, "Full". The problem with many full type cymbals from other companies is that the wash builds up and drowns out the sticking. This baby's ring is precisely proportionate to the dynamics of how one plays it. A nice gentle hum if played soft, or a roar when played loud. And like I said, the sound DOES NOT build. EXCELLENT cymbal. Typical of Paiste.

Yes, it's pretty wonderful

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

I just bought one of these used. Of course I had to compare it to the sound file on the Paiste site. It was identically pitched; the cymbal on the sound file could have been my cymbal. So at least mine sounds exactly like that; yours might too. But I would hear it in person first. So much is made of Signatures, that unless you are just floored there's a bit of let down. This is a pretty wonderful cymbal, but it did not floor me. It is pretty dirty, so I am going to clean it and see if it hits me better after. It's true that the cymbal does not develop overtones like a B20 cymbal does. In that sense it's more dead, while at the same time being more bright. Make sense? Even if it doesn't, a very fine cymbal.

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

The Signature Full ride is a really nice ride. It has a bright, clear tone and a really nice bell that cuts through. I play in a Dave Matthews Band conver and have played in rock, heavy metal and hard rock bands and this ride simply fits perfectly. However there are 2 things that I really have to point out: 1) it is not that versatile considering that it is a quite LOUD cymbal. So, playing jazz, bossa nova and other quieter styles with this cymbal is not really a good idea; 2) It has a lot of overtones/harmonics that, sometimes, can be anoying. I use some duct tape on it to minor this downside... And so does Jared Falk, by the way...! Last but not least, it is a bit pricey too.

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

When I first started playing on this cymbal I was a little bit disappointed. I felt like it was too loud, and it was going to overpower and wash out my and my bands playing. After playing it for a while, I warmed up to it and gave it a shot with the guitarist jamming with me. Wow, this cymbal is simply amazing when played with other instruments. It is super musical, it has good wash that fills the sound, but it doesn't get out of control. very versatile cymbal. I would recommend it in any music setting except for quieter situations. This cymbal has very good articulation. Its stick definition is very clear, but it has an underlying wash that fill the sound spectrum. It is perfect because most cymbals that have good articulation lose their tone and become very dry, and vice versa with cymbals that have good tone and wash they lose their articulation. With this cymbal you get best of both worlds. It is bright, silvery, musical, full bodied, its good for crashing, defined, focused, and very beautiful on top of it. It is an excellent cymbal, and is worth the money.

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

I've used Paistes in one model line or another for over 20 years, and when the opportunity came to get Signatures, I jumped on it. This is the best, most musical ride I have ever played, and the broad range I can play on it is fantastic. I can lay into it and make it wash, or I can lay back on the edge for a 50's sound. I can't say enough about it.

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

As a lover of the Paiste Signature series, I had to review my ride. This is a very musical, melodic ride. It has an excellent balance of harmony and rhythm and sounds good no matter what I do from the bell to the edge. A very beautiful sounding cymbal, but then, I have learned to expect that from the Paiste Signature series.

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

Over the 38 years that I've been playing the "skins," I've tapped on a mess of 20, 21 and 22 inch rides of several brands in all price ranges. I've played with full orchestras, jazz ensembles, folk and rock groups and bands whose musicality defied categorization. In any given "setting," I've always preferred to use two syles of ride cymbals, one of which is always a "standard" 20 inch full and the other being any one of the wide variety available. Given all this, I have to say that if I was alone on a desert island with only one cymbal, I pray to God that it's the Paiste Signature Full Ride!!!! Comprende?!?

Comments about Paiste Signature Full Ride Cymbal:

I have played professional drums for over 30 years and I have to tell you that the Paiste signature series cymbals are the most musical cymbals that I have heard. From behind the kit they mix with and become a part of the music that has to be heard to be believed. Go to your nearest Guitar Center and check them out for yourself. You have 45 days to decide...that's what I did and I kept everyone of them.
