Comments about Paiste Signature Reflector Heavy Full Hi-Hat Cymbals:

Absolutely beautiful hi hats! When I first got them, I didn't even want to hit them with a stick. I thought about framing them. Anyway, the sound is superb. I heard them in a comparison video and decided to try them out after checking out some other hi hats, and I am very glad I got these. The sound of these hi hats is very articulate, clean, and pronounced. They sound classy, elegant, and just plain beautiful. You can see your reflection in these suckers. The top hat has machine hammering with small indents, but the bottom hat has different hammering marks. The bottom hat looks hand hammered, causing a difference in sound. This difference really makes the open sound of the hi hat complex and unique. The description of the cymbal says a dose of dirt. I don't know if i would call it dirt, it sounds gorgeously clean to me. I would more describe it as complex and dark with a glassy transparent overtone that seems to make the cymbal sound otherworldly. These hats are very heavy, and I even went out to buy new bigger, heavier sticks just to control these babies. Smaller sticks sound extremely articulate when the hats are closed which is amazing sounding, but cannot make the cymbals roar when you open them, unless you use the body of the stick at an angle. With bigger sticks, the articulation is still amazing, but the whoosh that the hi hats make when you open it is very powerful. It demands attention, and makes your drum set sound fierce, but you can ease up on them and the dynamics stay under control. These hi hats are my ideal hi hats, and I would definitely suggest them to anyone. They are pricey, but worth the money. Go big or go home. Paiste has done it again, and that is why I am Paise for life.

Excellent Hi Hats

Comments about Paiste Signature Reflector Heavy Full Hi-Hat Cymbals:

I fell in love with these hats when I played them for the first time.First of all, the finish is beautiful. You have to see them, cause pictures don't do them justice. Now to the important part, the sound. What musical style do they best fit in to? Almost every one. You can play them really soft for Jazz or something, but if you hit them hard - boy, they are loud :D. I myself play Rock and Metal mostly, but I didn't want a pair of hats that can only be used to play those styles - so I got the Reflector Heavy Full Hi Hats :DThe overall sound is somewhat dark, but they got the mid- and high-frequencies that make them sound "full" and cut through the guitars and stuff.Although they are heavy, I recommend them to everyone. They are really professional Hi Hats. But as always, try them before you buy them, cause they are quite expensive and everybody has a different taste.
