Masterful cymbal

Comments about Paiste Traditional Ride:

Wonderful dark, controlled sound with a nice wash on the shoulder slap. I use this cymbal as my general purpose cymbal for funk/fusion and 60's motown type gigs. I like it in that it isn't really loud, it's very dark and warm sounding, it feels strong, a big wood stick gives a nice "tick" instead of a "ping" on it. Two thoughts on the counter-point side:1) The bell sound is very integrated into the body sound of the upper cymbal- so that the bell sound is duller and spreading rather than "ping". I think the bell is quite shallow and this is probably why.2) I own the "medium" weight 20" version and for my style of play I now wish I had bought the "thin" version for a little more wash on the crash.In general, a masterwork of cymbal craft that I rely on frequently.

Ever since I got my Paiste Trads, I can't even listen to other cymbals without wincing. The best of the best is right here. Super sizzling ping over dirty undertones. Overall majestic sound. Unbelievable. They look cool, too.
