Love the orange color, good low-end clave sound, mounting/adjustment clamps are solid and gives much freedom in moving it to the right spot.
These Pearl clave blocks are great. I got the Medium pitch to replace an old LP block, but still wanted a little lower pitch. This is the ONE!. As with all their clave blocks, the mounting is awesome to move it to wherever you need. I have this one now over the toms, and the medium pitch with the latin percussion set up. These sound a bit "drier" than the similar LP clave blocks, so it is actually a bit more of a "woody" sound, which is GOOD.
Pearl = Quality always!
Same pricepoint as LP and everyone else here.

Pearl - The Best Reason To Play Drums! Can't wait to use this one on the latin percussion section, and to have the Low pitch for the kit - Magic Bus Live At Leeds a must have! Really you'll do fine with either the Pearl or LP, but I have an "all Pearl" kit and this was literally the last remaining non-Pearl item there. I would give the Pearl a 10 if not for the color choices on their blocks!
Like to oval shape, let's you turn it to "fit" set as you wish and still have multiple angles to come at it. Mounting clamp very useful also - it can move along back of block so you don't have to adjust the mount post/clamp, as well as rotate the block as needed "to fit" as you want. I got the Medium to replace an old LP Medium clave, and would say it is quite a bit higher pitch than the LP model. The sound is very nice, but I am moving it to my bongos/congas/cowbell set-up, and getting a "Low" version for the actual kit which should be closer to the LP Medium pitch. Between the 2 - Pearl and LP, the Pearl sound has a bit more "bite", and the LP a bit more sustain.
Pearl - top notch. Mounting bracket is cool!
Clave block - not really an expensive item and inline with other brands.

These clave are very great,I mostly use them in ballads. But in solos they are ROCKIN. It might just be a little piece of plastic, but it has an amazing sound and a strong body. Please buy if you want to! Thanks.

It's a good clave block for the money. There is only one drawback. You can't mount it to your base drum. My only choice was to put it on my kettledrum leg.

I just got high and low pitch blocks for our church and they sound awesome! It adds a great sound to our music group. They worked very well with the 2 post Pearl PPS51 percussion rack I also purchased with these. I would highly recomend these blocks.

These just showed up in the mail today. After about half an hour, I love them. I got the green and red ones, and the only thing that is keeping the *features* from being 10 is that I think the green one is a little too high. But, yeah, after half an hour not a single chip or dent. Buy.
