A 'power piccolo' with tone that'll pierce tank armor!
The Pearl JJ-1355 Joey Jordison Signature Snare Drum features a 13" x 6-1/2" 1mm steel shell that has the high pitch and bite of a piccolo and the full, fat tone of a deep snare. Black Super Hoops and Masters double-ended lugs complement the black shell decorated with Slipknot logos repeated around the exterior. The drum's SR-017 strainer features a vertical pull action for ideal snare-to-head contact using minimal tension and results in superior snare response at all playing levels.

I just purchased this snare and guys I gotta say out of the box it needs a little tuning, but after I tuned it up just a bit, the sound was insane. The kind of snap and rebound you get off this snare is fantastic, and it complements the rest of my classic '82 Pearl Birch kit (kit being deep blood red in colour) Other than the incredible PUNCH you get from this drum, asthetics wise this thing is a monster. Comes with Remo coated G1 head on top (not sure about bottom head) and it's painted pitch black, with the "S" logo that is put all around the snare. Overall for quality, bang for buck, looks, sounds and generally the good value of this drum I give it a 5. You will NOT be dissapointed.

This snare has no versatility and a nauseating amount of tinny projection; no body. Get a Charlie Benante (Tama CB1465) snare. Also a steel snare, but incredibly versatile and has a beautiful tone all around. Don't waste your money on the Joey snare.

I crushed my stock Pearl in just 3 months so I decided to get a snare that would take a beating and not fall apart. This snare is solid construction. It has a monstrous crack when you hit the rim and snare hard. This is by far the best snare I've ever owned. If you are looking for a heavy cracking snare this is the one.

I have been using this snare for almost 4 years now and it hasn't disapointed at all. Amazing features and components send it over the top. I tune mine high, and it has a bite more fierce than a rattlesnake!

This is the geatest sounding snare ive ever heard in the 8 years ive been playin. Its hard to find a good looking snare that cuts through, be used for any styles of music, has absolutly beautifull tones, and just sings. I recomend this for everyone, no matter what genera and exsperience you have behind the kit!!

WOW! this snare is awesome! i have been using a cheap snare drum that came with my starter kit for three years, and let me tell you it was a horrible snare it was a very dry sound. it sounded like i was playing cardboard over a tin garbage can.i bought this and imidiatly i found a huge differance in snares, if you want a great snare with a crack and a bang for your buck than buy the JJ sig snare and you wont regret it.
