Yep worth every penny. I got turned onto "the patch" a couple of years ago from a local music store. The patch will definitely extend the life of your beater head. Contrary to other reviews, this thing stays put. I've not tried to remove it and reattach it to a new head so I don't know how well that works. When I change heads I just buy a new patch. Usually by then, the old patch has seen enough abuse. Highly recommended!

This head protector is the worst on the market. within a week it fell off of my bass drum even though there was no reason for it to fall off. Once it fell off for the first time, it never stayed on, and the kicker kept sticking to the head.

Yep worth every penny. I got turned onto "the patch" a couple of years ago from a local music store. The patch will definitely extend the life of your beater head. This thing is great for using on V-Drums kevlar heads. It is sure to extend the life of your heads, while not affecting sound quality or feel. These do appear to reduce the sensitivity of the kick drum slightly, but unless you barely touch the head with your bass drum beater (meaning, you actually hit the drum with the beater), you won't have a problem in that regard.

Man, these have gotten smaller over the years. Make sure you've got both your beaters centered then use them to actually press this on. Great patch, though. It barely alters the sound at all and you'll only notice that on a single-headed unmuffled kick. Maybe it's the small size of my kick (16") but it feels like this patch adds a bit more bounce to harder beaters. Overall, great buy.

I got this impact badge when I bought a Remo Powerstroke 3 bass batter head, and when I slapped it on there, it stayed put.It also has good sound when in place, which helps out a little with over tones. I suggest buying it; come on, it's only 5 bucks...

So the felt on my beaters had run down to the plastic (just on the sides) and they broke two brand new heads in 1 minute of playing. Dumb on my part, i know. I didnt have enough money for new beaters so i bought this along with ANOTHER new head and bam, i've had my head for ever thanks to this thing. get it!

This patch is extraordinary. The plastic sides of my pedals hit it and make a click and deliver a power-packed hit. However i normally use plastic, but with these i personally like the sound of felt better. it makes the same attacking sound but w/ less clicks. GREAT!

This gives a great punch, protects the head wonderfully and lasts a long time. I have had this for a year or more and it has never fallen off once, and doesn't look worn. Most likely, the only time I'll have to buy another one of these is if I get another head or set because you can't really remove it or else it won't be very sticky. GET THIS!

I got this about a year ago because i had a drum competition and i heard that they made your bass sound very punchy, and with me being a metal drummer and with me playing a lot of double bass i got one. With me putting this on and tuning my bass head very finely and turning my beaters around to plastic, when we put a mic up to it, it sounded simply amazing and it protected my bass head from getting thrashed cause my bass head is kinda old and was due for another one but i was short on cash and needed protection and a good punch..i highly recommend this to any drummer whether it would rock, alternative, metal, jazz any genre or style of playng i highly recommend it so go and buy NOW!!!!
