I got these cause I've used them on the set at school before we switched to Evans Genera Coated, I've got to say, when I first opened the package I was blown away just by how good they looked. They looked even better after I put them on my kit, but looks aren't everything, they've gotta sound good and these babies do! Thet tuned fairly easily and sound great. I liked them much better after I put resonant heads on, but I probably wouldnt mind not having resonant heads though. The only complaint I have is the snare head has some wicked overtones, but they could easily be taken care of with a studio ring or something, I can't really put down that head though cause i put it on my crap snare that i never use so it might sound better on something good. Still, next time I buy heads it'll probably be these. I recomend them!

This is an average pack. The toms ring a lot. If you put a ring on them, they should sound nice. The snare head however, is not good at all. It does not tighten that much on a wooden snare. It does not give you a good clack sound like you want. Also, the pinstripes are a bit hard to tune and tend to rattle(which goes on and of when it wants to and can not be fixed tuning wize)for no appearant reason. Remo does make good snare heads, just this one. I recomed getting a remo ambassador coated head for snare, and aquarian performance 2 for te toms.

Alright, the pinstripes are awesome. Everything about them I find to be excellent. For some reason, the included "emperor x" snare head never really did the job. I know how to tune a snare, but for some reason, it never sounded good enough for performance or even practice. My advice, get the pinstripes but not the emperor x.

Ive had these same heads on my Tama set for about 2 years, and ive only had a few problems with them.... only my floor and low tom had a slice in them... but the coated snare lets you beat the crap out of it and still keep it intact, people always play around on them and they still seem to hold out on the really hard hitters...overall there very durable

THis is a good buy over all. The tom heads sound great. The reason I put the features as 4.5 is because the snare sounds like CRAP!! It sounds too much like a tom and lacks tht pop tht a good snare head should help deliver. Replace it with an evans genera and youll be well set!

i got these heads and i can say there good and bad, they sound pretty nice but with no studio rings or moongels they sound pretty bad, sortof like you can hear the 2plies vibrating. with moongels though they sound pretty good. i think if u REALLY want a great sound i say go with Evans G2 clear or coated.

Yes, i own all the pinstripes (including bass drum head) and the CS snare head.I really enjoy the pinstripe heads, they have a great, warm sound for rock genre's. But they sound like crap if you have no good resonant heads. your resonants must have no dents and have never been hit, OR buy some remo (evans or whatever you like) ambassador for the resonants.the snare, however, sounds great! but it does not last long at all, i have had it for about two months (after replacing my old evans drumhead)and it has gone from coated to transparent in the center when it took 1 1/2 years to do the same with the evans head. want the same effects for your snare as the CS? Buy a coated pinstripe for it.

I have a full set of pinstripes gracing my Premier Resonator toms, they are thin and sturdy, providing the sustain and punch my Resonators require, the loudest and best engineered toms in history require a durable, tunable, thin head that doesn't tear or break when 200lbs of torque is applied to the sweet spot...no matter what toms you have, try a set of pinstripes, best bargain for the $$$...also try ebony pinstripes, same great tone, cool smoke color!

These Drum heads are the best. I didnt even have to stretch them twice... all i did was push in the center once, and they were fine. The snare head is probably one of my favorites. NO ringing at all, even if you have it tight as heck or really loose. The other ones are great too, but the texture of the snare drum helps the sound a lot. The other heads get rid of overtones almost instantly, at least compared to my other ones. If you dont want any overtones, i highly reccomend these. If you are still skeptical about the overtones, buy some Rem-Os to controll the overtones even more. I didn't get the Rem-Os, but they still sound amazing.
