Not totally happy
These things were stuck together so bad that they started to tear! Almost had to throw them away! It might have just been a bad batch. They do work though.

I have drumming experience from 1981. Muffling inside drums a waste of time. Richie rings work good if you want to muffle drums to an extreme. Foam and tape outside or inside make drums look messy. What I do not like about richie things if you do not tape them down they fly off the drums. Moongels stay put!!! Muffling and sound of drum is perfect. Guess what you can also muffle cymbals to. Perfect for ride cymbals.
Works with all drums. Makes drum sound fantastic.
Simple durability, last forever until you use it.
Anything under $10.00 is an investment.

Comments about RTOM Moongel Percussion Dampening Gels:
Does a good job cutting out some high end overtones in toms and muffling ring tones in snares. Also, they're clean, no adhesive, and they can be easily cut. Sometimes I use them on my cymbals.

Great for tonnig down down ring in all druns. But they are hard to get apart. Maybe they could put some wax paper between them.

Comments about RTOM Moongel Percussion Dampening Gels:
These are just pure awesomeness! Amazing! I would say the only bad things are that you have to replace them about every 2 years, and washing them. Washing is really easy, and they are pretty cheap. They last a long time and do so much for your kit.

Comments about RTOM Moongel Percussion Dampening Gels:
nothing is better for dampening. you can cut to the right size you need. unlike using dampening rings which are an "all-or-nothing" solution, the moon gels allow you to customize to the tone you seek, without killing your sound.
They eventually deteriorate, so I keep spare, but they last for months and months of play.

Comments about RTOM Moongel Percussion Dampening Gels:
You can't find a more versatile dampener that can be used over and over again. Over time, they can turn to goo if they are exposed to other adhesives such as tape. Use them by themselves and they last a long time. They work excellent to reduce unwanted overtones and snare buzz.

Comments about RTOM Moongel Percussion Dampening Gels:
These damnpening gels blew my aquarian studio rings out of the water, the rings were good, but they vibrated and rang every time I hit my toms. So, I thought why not try these, and they work great. The moon gels get rid of unwanted tones without creating more problems.

I love moongel. But, I'd love to know why they are so expensive. Anybody???

Comments about RTOM Moongel Percussion Dampening Gels:
The gels came stuck together and were difficult to separate and they are warped now and probably don't work as well as the would. I do think they dampen well, but I think those rings you can put around drums do a better job. Not, bad but there are better products.
Pros
- Easy To Use
- Functional
- Good Quality
- Re-usable
Cons
- Collects Dirt
- Stuck Together
Best Uses
- Eliminating Ring
- Muffling
Comments about RTOM Moongel Percussion Dampening Gels:
Moongels work great to eliminate ring or to provide muffling (if using more than one). They are really stuck together when you first open them and they got misshapen after I pulled them apart. Better than gaffe tape because you can remove them quickly.
