Use it with storytelling. Was going to buy an all-fiberglass one but would have had to spend a lot more money. This turned out to be perfect! Used it at a show yesterday and was very pleased. Very sturdy construction. Nice loud, clear sound. Ropes & drumheads are tight, sure they will last a long time. Would have liked it in brighter colors but maybe in the future, Toca will provide more colors. Overall a great drum!

We gave this drum as a gift for a 12-year-old who is interested in beginning percussion, but not currently signed up for classes. Two heads and the ability to modify the tone by squeezing the cords gives her the chance to create a variety of sounds out of one instrument - plus it's small enough to wear and play comfortably and relatively quiet, which makes for a happier mom and neighbors than a snare. Beautiful looking drum...and the hit of the birthday party!
