Zildjian

Made for the heavy rock environment.

The Zildjian A Custom Projection Crash Cymbal was developed in response to requests for the heavier, louder volume needed in rock settings. The Zildjian Sound Lab created the Projection series cymbals with the assistance of Vinnie Colaiuta. Zildjian A Custom cymbals are made using radical rotary hammering techniques, thin weights, and a striking, brilliant finish.

This cymbal is awesome.  I got this cymbal and loved it and it sounds awesome.  I really like it.  One thing to be careful of is  that you have to take good care of it so it stays clean touching it will leave finger prints if you touch it you should touch it on the sides.

WOW! This cymbal is a stunner! I bought mine used, but it looks and sounds new! This cymbal cuts through all my other cymbals (even my Wuhan china (WOW)) and its just so bright and awesome you would be a fool not to buy it! i have the 18" and i love it to death!

its a wee bit expensive new, so i would suggest looking for a used one. but WHAT A CYMBAL!

Mine cracked on the 13th month

The cymbal sounds great if you hit it hard. If you tap it you don't get much of a sound which is understood. I have 4 of these on my kit and one of my two 18's cracked the other day. The cymbal was set up properly and hit properly with wooden 2B sticks. I's shocked it cracked! We'll see if Zildjian warranties it. I'll post back

This is kind of my main crash.  Not like the crash I hit on beat one, but the one I use if I'm playing quarter notes.  Freaking great resonance.  Great tone.  It's really good for my style of music.  I'd say that A Customs are made more for rock and things of that sort and not for jazz...as it's probably well-known.  I got the 17".  Love it.

Great cymbals, but BEWARE. HARD HITTERS ONLY. There's a reason why Lars Ulrich and not many others use these. Anything less than a full stroke, and the cymbals don't make much of a noise. That said, hit them hard enough and they explode. Bright, cutting, and powerful. They will fulfill rock and metal needs of any kind, but don't put them on a jazz set and expect the type of performance you want.
