The Zildjian A Medium Crash Cymbal is my all time favorite crash cymbal....thats why all 4 of my crashes are A Medium ( in Brilliant finnish)....its just a great cymbal....it sounds great...just enough highs, mids, and lows, and just enough sustain....and its not to thin, so it wont break if you pound on it after 4 months...and its loud enough for rock music, and times you play without mics...but, not so thick that it sounds like a plat being smashed, or so thick that you have to pound on it everytime, to get sound out of it ( like Z Custom lol) its exstremely versitile. If you do get this cymbal though, be sure to get in Zildjians "brilliant" finnish ( like the finnish on All A Customs) it give this great crash a cleaner, brighter, and smooth sound, and great shinny look. : )

I've always trusted Zildjian, but what the heck?? I bought the 16" cymbal and after 10 months, it has a crack in the middle of the cymbal. I can play hard at times, but I'm certainly not a basher. I guess I'll have to try a heavier model.

I've owned this cymbal for over a year now, and it has never failed to accommodate. I love the sound it gives, its versatility in different styles of music, and the way it plays; you can elicit so many different sounds from it depending on your technique. An excellent cymbal for a wide and expansive range of genres; I recommend this!

This crash is simply amazing. In comparison to some other crashes I've played, it's not so loud, but it has a great tone. It's unbelievable. If you give it a good whack, it opens up like magic, really bright. But if you hit it just right, it can actually be very dark. The overtones in general are very dark, especially if you've had it for a while, and they sound NICE. I've had it for six years now and it just got a crack. And you know what? It still sounds good.

This is an awesome cymbal, especially when I play rock or pop. May be too bright for someones taste or not having a fast response, but for the type of music I play its nice, and sometimes I play it like a powerful crash-ride, a great sound! Finally, its true that this cymbal sounds better if you use it a lot, less brigthness and get a more crashable sound (because when I first played it, sounded too heavy) Try it!

I love Zildjian cymbals but this one does just not sound good with my 18" A Medium Thin. Its very loud and very heavy. I feel its not very expressive because you cant get a good tone out of it without hitting the cymbal very loud. I would still recommend it, but really for very loud music.

I use an 18" medium crash as my main crash cymbal, it blends nicely with my K crashes. Mine is fairly thick, this thing is loud! A side effect of thick crashes is that these do not respond as fast as a-customs or K's. No point for me though.

I purchased a 19", and I love it. Although it says on it that it's a medium crash, mine is thin. it pitch is higher than the sound clip of the 16" on this website. it's definately a sweet crash. the great part about buying new is the 1 year warranty. if you play hard, you're paying for two cymbals (granted that you crack the one within a year).

I got the 18 inch med crash. and it seems like the more I play it the better it sounds. I want to order a 16 inch soon. I recommend this cymbal to beginners to professional drummers. I think they are good for a lot of musical styles.

The Zildjian A series Med-thin Crashes are the most driving crashes out there. If you know how to pull through a crash these are perfect, if not go with an A series med crash. I've played every major brand and all of Zildjian's series, but A series are the most diverse and Med-thin gives you the most results and in many different ranges. Good for any style of music.

I got this cymbal for Christmas, and it is great! At first I thought it had a funky sound, but either my ear got used to the sound or I broke it in, because I think it sounds great now. I really recommend this cymbal.
