I use the A Custom line for my kit and have a 16" and 18" crash. So I was looking to add something with a crisp high pitch crash sound. After lisening to a ton of audio clips I thought this cymbal was the one. It's described a "THIN" but I was so wrong. Honestley it sounds like a gong. I am sending it back and I went to a brick and mortar store and tested them in person. I ended with a 15" A custom crash. Maybe I dont understand the product line but the A's have rips on them making them deeper sounding and thats not what I like. It sounded close to the zbt's I sold for the A customs. Bottom line is its best to hear the cymbal in person. One other note is the place I went had two of the same cymbals and they both sounded different. I understand maybe a slight difference but one was much lower sounding. Even the store clerk was shocked.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Thin Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is awesome. i was hesitant on buying it because of its thickness. I have hit it as hard as i could constantly and it had not bent, cracked, or chipped. this cymbal is truly amazing. do not waste your money on zbt's or zxt's, spend the extra bucks and buy something you're gonna keep for a lifetime, not for a month.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Thin Crash Cymbal:

I have had this cymbal for quite some time now, and I truly loved it. But one day while playing with my band, I was hitting this cymbal and it was not sounding right. I inspected both the top and the bottom and noticed not one, but two cracks on either side of the cymbal about two inches from the rim. I am a very powerful drummer, and if you are looking for a great cymbal than this is the one. but if you tend to be a hard hitter look for something else.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Thin Crash Cymbal:

This crash is very versatile and speaks with a quick crisp bright voice that has dark overtones and fades quickly. The Avedis thin crashes are quite a bit more responsive than the thicker crashes and, as I've said, decay faster. This cymbal has that clasic sound.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Thin Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is versatile as hell and I used it for everything. But its cracked at the centerhole and broken and ive only had it for like 6 months. I do play heavier rock but its not like im a metal player and im not a big guy at all, in fact im a skinny 17 year old.N

This Zildjian A-series 16" thin crash is beautifully sensitive and opens up easily. Since I'm not a bashing heavy hitter, I was looking for a cymbal that speaks instantly with a short sustain.

Comments about Zildjian A Series Thin Crash Cymbal:

I've had my 16" nearly a year now, and it still sounds great. I've played on it pretty hard and havn't found the slightest problem yet. It really explodes during the hard playing, and, especially with some fresh sticks, sounds really gentle and soft. I recomend any size in this A series for any style of drumming. This cymbal defines 'crash'

I absolutely loved my thin crashes, I had a zillion of them on my set. After selling kit 8 years ago, I am going all in again! Crisp, short destain to my liking; didn't hurt them. They sounded second to none playing Sammy Hagar's (V.H.) Love Comes Walkin In. Give it a wack!

Comments about Zildjian A Series Thin Crash Cymbal:

Zildjian A series cymbals are definitely the best of the best. They certainly have stood the test of time. I`ve played A series thin crashes for years. I`ve played and heard a lot of different cymbals and nothing matches the sound of the "A" crashes. My current crash cymbal line up is a 15"& 16" thin crash and a 16"& 17" paperthin crash all "A"`s. No matter what type of music you play, Zildjian A series thin crashes are the only serious choice.

Im a drummer that is on a budget b/c im 14 and dont have a job and i only get money here and there from small jobs and lawn cuts ect.....but the zildjian A series is an awesome series!!...my dad's friend owns a couple and ive played on them and they are great: bright sound, nice finish, awesome tone!!! And the A series is not that exspensive of a series compared to the Paiste Signatue Series..so overall i think this will be a great cymbal for me since im sellin my PS2 to buy it. lol

I have owned my 16" thin crash for quite some time and can truthfully say it is an awesome sounding crash. It is the epitome of what a crash cymbal shoud be. The A series costs more that the ZBTs or ZHTs, but remember, you get what you pay for, especially with musical instruments like drums and cymbals. Save your pennies and buy the A series Zildjians. You won't regret it. These things will last and sound amazing for years to come, and are professional grade cymbals.

If you're looking for a dark crash without a whole lot of treble, don't get this cymbal, a Z custom cymbal works better for a dark sound. This is still a great cymbal that i love, but not really what i was looking for.
