I own the K Custom Hybrid 9" and 11" splashes, and the A custom 12" splash. The tone of the K hybrid splashes is wonderful. The bell has awesome, beautiful, ringing tone, and is superior to the bell of any of my other cymbals (constantinople hats, K Custom Hybrid 20" ride, Bosphorus ride, A custom splash). I stand in wonder why more guys don't have these on their drum sets, when it adds variety to the sound. You can even ride a bit on the 11" splash, and it has a beautiful wash.
This is really crazy, but I mounted my splashes piggy-back eight or nine inches above my two ride cymbals, and it actually improves the tone of both rides, brighting the sound.
Comparison with the A Custom splash: The K hybrids have more wash and complex sound. The 12" A custom can be used as a little crash or a little ride, and I like the sound for that use. The tone of the bell of the A Custom cannot compete with the tone of the bell on the K hybrids... they are unsurpassed.
I recommend the K Custom Hybrid splashes, in both the 9" and 11" sizes. Buy both.

I bought this splash nearly a year ago and it is still in prestine condition. Not a single crack or dent anywhere. The hybrid design and thickness of this splash make it really unique. I own the 8in and I use it in all different kinds of musical styles varying from metal to rock to soft pop. This cymbal can do it all. My favorite part about this cymbal is the high volume and its ability to keep a fantastic consistant tone when hit hard. Well worth the price. I would recommend this splash to anyone and everyone. I'm looking to add an 11in to my setup as soon as I get the extra cash. This cymbal is a great buy.

I have the 9", and it is fierce, and crisp. The hybrid makes it a way different tone and sound than a traditional finish and the brilliant finish. It's a mix of the two, not to dull not too sharp. I picked it up and held it, inspected the bottom and realized how thick it was, you can't bend this cymbal, which is great, and will really help with durability. This is a great cymbal for all types of music. I truly sugest getting it.

I initially bought this cymbal while I was out shopping to replace a favorite Wuhan I cracked/destroyed. I had an A Custom splash at the counter and at the last second I asked the guy if I could hear it. I was very disapointed with the sound of the A Custom so I told him, no dice and shelved it. He then suggested this cymbal and I took the 16" and gave it a bunch of good crashes. It sounded way better. After getting it home and on my kit it sounds even better! It is a tough little cymbal. I had to replace the Woohan cymbal with another Woohan to replace the Woohan sound I lost. This is just a welcome addition to my kit. If you buy this cymbal I think you'll be glad you did. It sounds very good.

This cymbal is one of the top 5 slpash cymbals out there on the market. I have the 11" and the 9" and they both sound very good.

Well, obviously this is a high quality cymbal with a great sound.What made me choose this splash over some of the others out there is the richness of the tone and the sturdy feel. It doesn't sound like a thin piece of tin, it really expands the musicality of your kit. The unlathed bell really helps give it some projection.And it feels like it will stand up to a lot of playing. It doesn't feel like it needs to be babied like some of the Paiste and Sabian splashes.It's pricey, but it's a high quality, highly musical addition to my kit. I felt that I was maybe paying a bit extra for that pretty "K" stamp, until I got it home and started playing....

I bought this cymbal as just an extra sound for my kit. I would have never thought the tone and the overall clean splash sound this little cymbal would produce. Amazing for cymbal rolls or even an open crash. It is a great deal!

This is a great splash. I've tried the 9 inch and the 11 inch but I'd recommend the 9 inch more. I want to get it so bad but I'm on a tight budget. It has a great tone. Great for a drummer with a good budget.

Got an A Custom 6" splash a month ago that's nice, just a little bit understated. Had a chance to try this one out at a Zildjian clinic last Friday, and wound up bringing it home. Nice, clear tone with just the right duration. A fine addition to my cymbal "fleet."
