Sweet Instrument

By Gerrymusic

from Midwest

Comments about Gold Tone Banjolele Deluxe:

Got this about 4 months ago and I'm really very pleased with it. NOTE* I've got the geared tuners, NOT the friction ones. My advice, get the geared. Very, very easy to tune and it stays in tune. Great addition for our folk trio. As easy to play as a uke and has a banjo tone to it. Musicians Friend was very helpful in answering all my question over the phone. I felt confident that this Goldtone is what I wanted, and it was. Real pleased with it. And they used to sell for more......Get one and you won't regret it.

Truss Rod but ungeared (Friction) pegs a bummer

By Bobtec

from Redlands, CA

Comments about Gold Tone Banjolele Deluxe:

The good news is, unlike most ukes, this has a truss rod so that adjusting and intonation are no problem. Since it's a duplicate of what George Formby played (right down to the friction pegs), the pegs are NOT geared. I suppose I could either put on some grovers, or live with it. I wouldn't recommend putting Grovers on to just anyone. When you do this, you void the warranty. It's a great little playing uke.
