I read quite a few of the negative reviews about this set here, but for the very affordable price I figured I'd take a chance anyway.

The case is beautiful, hard shell covered by what appears to be some sort of corduroy, velvet lining... Probably worth the price alone. The seven harmonicas are clearly marked in large letters with their individual keys, which really helps a beginner on the harmonica like me. The case also holds them very securely.

Just one problem... As I've read in some of the reviews here, one harmonica had three dead low notes (A-key). I emailed Hohner, they just asked to send back proof of purchase, and they're sending me a replacement free of charge. They didn't even ask me to return the defective one. Wow, great customer service.

Anyway, these are working great for me in my home studio, where I can tweak audio as necessary. But, I haven't had to do that yet, as their musical keys seem to be right on the money.

I probably wouldn't use them to perform live, but for my studio purposes with a bit of reverb and delay this is a great set. Would definitely buy again.

I should have known from the price..as a 30 year player I got less then I paid for.
These harps are badly manufactered on every level.
Air leaks, buzzing reeds, sharp cover plates, and a very cheap feel.tinny tone, and unplayable higher scale.Spend your money wisely..Marine Band ,Special 20's,Susuki "Manji's" or Lee Oskars. Hohner should be embarrassed to have their name on these garbage Chinese made harmonica look a likes... and shame on Musician's Friend for even selling them . I did carry some faith in this Company.. Live and Learn ,huh? Cheers from Canada

Comments about Hohner Blues Band 7-Piece Harmonica Set 1501:

From what I have seen and, heard after I received these I would certainly buy again. Very nice padded case! I sat down with some recorded music in different keys and, started jamming, I mostly play cross harp but, a few in the same key and, I could not find anything to dislike except why didn't I purchase these a long time ago. I took one of these apart just to check it out and, compare it with an older blues harp that I have and, there just wasn't that much difference and, these can be adjusted and, worked on. I am a guitar player and, every now and then I'll grab a harp to add to a solo. These fill the bill nicely plus having all the different keys handy is Great!

Comments about Hohner Blues Band 7-Piece Harmonica Set 1501:

Wasn't expecting much and wasn't disappointed. Just needed the box, the harps were secondary. They are weak sounding, hard to play... Just what I expected dying reading other reviews. The box is an adequate replacement for an old one.

Comments about Hohner Blues Band 7-Piece Harmonica Set 1501:

I am trying to get back in the game, at least in my head! I wanted a set of varied keys to expand my range and I could afford this set. I have used Suzukis and Hohner mostly but find myself with nothing to play lately. This is a good fit and I know what I'm getting. My expectations are fairly low. I like the zipper case and will replace the instruments with better ones as needed.
