Comments about Mitchell MUB70S Baritone Ukulele:

Very Nice finish, After placing new strings, D'Addario J68's sounds excellent. I have a koa Baritone and this Mitchell MUB70s, being a spruce top has a different sound, a nice sound. A pleasure to own.

Comments about Mitchell MUB70S Baritone Ukulele:

I've had this for a while, and nearly traded it off a few times; but just like it more every time I pick it up. First off, it has a somewhat subdued tone and I thought (at first) it was "dull", comparing it to other "sparkly" sounding ukes. This Bari has soul. This Bari has a thick neck that is easy to grip, and is built to last. This Bari sounds great with a set of D'addario EJ88Bs; a match made in heaven. Yeah, I wish Mitchell would build one with a good pickup; however, I am gonna keep it.

Comments about Mitchell MUB70S Baritone Ukulele:

I bought this baritone uke so that I could return to playing and singing folk music that I sang in the past in an amateur but consistent manner. My left hand suffered some nerve damage in an auto accident over 20 years ago and has become a little arthritic as time has passed. I do not play my 6 string acoustic guitar as freely as I once could. This baritone uke has a good sound and is not too high pitched like a tenor uke. I am enjoying it very much.

Comments about Mitchell MUB70S Baritone Ukulele:

To learn something new at my age of 72 can be a challenge, however as it is the largest of the Ukuleles it fits my fingers so much better. Having only 4 strings to play as apposed to the 6 on a guitar is also not as daunting. I enjoy its mellow sound. One can play any song one wishes (providing one puts the practice in) I play for my own enjoyment. The Mitchell Baritone is a very good looking instrument with lovely inlay around center and outer edge.

Comments about Mitchell MUB70S Baritone Ukulele:

Never had a baritone and thought the deeper tone would be better to sing to than c6 ukuleles, Mistakenly
purchased gcea strings thinking tuning accordingly would simply make this a deeper sounding standard uke, By the time you get the cgea strings tuned you end up with a giant tenor (already have a tenor), With bari strings dgbe back on I found most songs you can just use standard c6 chords and it works (not all but many) and bari chords aren't all that hard to learn, It's been about a month and I can't put this thing down, Sounds like a guitar much more intimate (small) Easy to play.............LOVE THIS THING!

Comments about Mitchell MUB70S Baritone Ukulele:

This is the standard by witch I judge all my other Ukes bought from MF. The finish is immaculate. The neck is perfect. Inlays are perfect. I thought it was a high priced Martin at first, had to look twice at the logo.
I have a Kala and Luna and Cordoba, they are not flawless. One other brand guitar I own compares in finish and it cost double. I can't prop myself up in bed and play the full size guitar like this baritone Mitchell and be comfortable.
Stopped by GC and checked out their Mitchell off the wall and it is just as good, no flaws. To me, it looks like the guitars that were made with classic looks in previous years.

Comments about Mitchell MUB70S Baritone Ukulele:

I've used this baritone ukulele for two years while teaching elementary music classes and it's been played hard. I've dropped it on several occasions (once from the top of a bookshelf about 4 feet high) and it's still in good shape. A couple of scratches and nicks, but that's to be expected. The intonation is good, as well as the volume (I use D'Addario strings). It has a nice, thick finish and feels solid in your hands. It fits perfectly in the Musicians Gear baritone ukulele case. Overall, it's a solid instrument and I have't regretted my purchase.
