Don't Forget

Distinctive, traditionally-styled and affordable mandola.

While the mandola is gaining in popularity every day, there is still a lack of quality instruments available to the musician who doesn't wish to spend the thousands of dollars for your typical boutique instrument from the private maker. This is why Trinity College has introduced the TM-275 Mandola. It's a thoroughly professional instrument in every way--made of selected all-solid tonewoods and artistically finished to the highest standards. The slim, mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod ensures easy playability and the 17" scale promotes the deep, rich bass tones that mandola players love. The elegant Celtic peghead design in pearl immediately identifies the TM-275 as part of the Trinity College family. A deluxe hard shell case is included.

Comments about Trinity College TM-275 Standard Mandola:

I have a Weber Bridger and bought this so I could easily move back forth to Alternate tunnings. There is no documentation, I don't know what strings it comes with, they seem extremely light. Even so it sounded amazingly good. I think it will only improve as I upgrade the strings. Also the bridge string notches are almost not there. I have ordered the proper files for the strings I am changing to. Some dealers do extensive setups where you can specify upgraded strings and they would prep the nut and bridge accordingly. Perhaps that was the idea. At this time it still compares in sound and build quality very well to the 15 year old custom built for a professional musician Weber. Certainly worth the price.

Comments about Trinity College TM-275 Standard Mandola:

This mandola came well set up. BTW the bridge does NOT have adjustable wheels as mentioned in the description. It is a fixed ebony bridge with a bone saddle riding on it. Like a classical mandolin set up and it works great and gets all the vibration to the soundboard. Intonation is dead on across all strings. Top A string sounds clear all the way up the fretboard. Great sustain and tones and you can feel it come alive when strummed. It will give sweet tones when played gently and double stops up the frets just sing. Dig in and it will punch out the chords and project well. Good U shaped neck that is not too fat and fits the hands nicely. A pleasure to play. Can't say enough about it and the quality for the money.
