I purchased this tin whistle and a plastic version. Hands down, the plastic version is so much easier to play with clearer tones and wider range of tones. I wanted the tin whistle to play the theme from The Lord of the Rings, etc. but it doesn't have the range.

As good as any penny whistle in the price range, and there are several brands. This is a good first instrument for anyone, relatively easy to play. It's also an easy instrument to learn for someone who wants to add another voice to their arsenal of instruments.

This tin whistle was the first that I bought. I used it to learn and practice, then I opted to buy one a little more pricey and I found out that they sound pretty similar. So for the price It's an awesome buy.

For it's low price, I didn't expect much from this whistle, but when I got it I found it was quite a piece of work. It reaches a full 2 octaves from D3-D5, and once you get the hang of it, is an easy and fun instrument to play. I fully recommend this for anybody who wants an easy learning instrument or anybody who wants to add to their collection of instruments.

Well they are a bit cheaper in Ireland, but besides that, they're fun to play. I'm a guitarist and bought this for the fun of it. It is fun, but don't be fooled, for someone who's never played one before it's a bit of a challenge. Quality is very good, for what it is. My suggestion is to buy one and then practice on a long flight somewhere, or from the backseat of the car while someone else drives. Great fun, easy to take with you.
