'70s vibe and a unique set of features including an H/S pickup combination.
Definitely not your average Stratocaster, the Pawn Shop '70s Strat Deluxe is one of the most unusual takes ever on the world's most archetypal electric guitar, with a pronounced 1970s style and vibe. For one-of-a-kind tonal versatility, its alder body houses a Telecaster single-coil neck pickup and a fearsome Enforcer humbucking bridge pickup with a smaller Wide Range chrome cover.
Other distinctive features include a "U"-shaped maple neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, 9.5" radius and "bullet" truss rod; four-ply white pearloid pickguard; three-way blade pickup switching and two Jazz Bass control knobs (master volume, master tone); '70s-style hard-tail Stratocaster bridge and vintage-style "F" tuners.
Includes gig bag.

Comments about Fender Pawn Shop '70s Stratocaster Deluxe Electric Guitar:
I have long avoided strats because of the location of the controls-- the top one being too close to the strings for me-- but this Pawn Shop Strat got it right w/ controls placed more like a Telecaster, lower and further back. My American HH Tele is my long time favorite. I also really like the very comfortable sculpted body of this Pawn Shop, and mine is gorgeous gloss black w/ white perlite pick guard and maple neck. Set-up was pretty good right out of the box, but slight buzz at 1st/2nd fret on small E and B strings easily corrected by a slight string height adjustment followed by slight truss rod adjustment. This neck is really fast, maybe even faster than my HH Tele, but shaped differently, and now I really don't know which I prefer as they're both excellent, just different. If this Pawn Shop Strat got lost, stolen, or destroyed, I'd buy another without hesitation. Really nice construction quality and gorgeous too. I like the sound quality, but that is a very personal thing, and very amp dependent. But I especially like it plugged into a Behringer acoustic amp for a less harsh sound, or a Roland for the screaming strat sound. I could have been happy with the Sunburst one too-- life is too short to play an ugly guitar;>)
