Comments about Fender Telecaster Richie Kotzen Solid Body Electric Guitar:

Picked up my RK tele preowned in flawless virtually unused condition at a music store rather than online - but wanted to back other reviewers comments. Firstly the pics on the musiciansfriend website do not do it justice - the colors of the maple top, the scratch plate and all the hardware just work together so well - it is a beautiful instrument. Maple neck is big and chunky but with a set of .09s on it so sweet under the fingers - effortless even. It sounds almost like two guitars - you can get that tele twang going, but crank up the Chopper-T at the bridge and you can make it scream/sing all day long. And the Fender Japan people clearly have quality control sorted - the instrument is flawless and better than some American strats and LPs I have come across.

Comments about Fender Telecaster Richie Kotzen Solid Body Electric Guitar:

Great Job Fender Japan! It was perfect straight out of the box. I love the combination of the thick neck, jumbo frets, 12" radius and the belly cut. I have been looking for a telecaster for a long time, but could not find one with this combination until now. I may never play my strat again with that skinny neck. Someday, they may make the RK Strat available in the US and I would buy one right away. An added bonus would be an HSS config. I have a LP, SG, Strat and a T5z. To be honest, if I had to only keep one, it would be this one. This feel of this guitar is outstanding! It looks and feels like a custom shop. This one is a keeper!

Comments about Fender Telecaster Richie Kotzen Solid Body Electric Guitar:

I was concerned the quality wouldn't be up to par with my american made guitars but it was equal on every level. I do not personally care for the parallel setup but it's an easy change if you want a tone knob. If you want a tele with a little more beef this is the one to buy.

This Tele is under rated. One of the best Tele buys available.
Finally a 12" fretboard radius!! Great quality, fatter neck for meaty tone & great sounding Dimarzio pickups. I've owned a few Tele's & this is a winner!
                Great job Richie and Fender!

Comments about Fender Telecaster Richie Kotzen Solid Body Electric Guitar:

I've been playing for 30 years. I have a 59 LP Reissue and PRS McCarty. I've been looking for a telecaster for more than a year. This one always intrigued me but I was concerned with it being made in Japan. So I took a gamble (not really since you can send back if you don't like) and purchased this guitar. It came perfectly set up and played well - set up with .09s. I plan to have it setup for 11s - my preference. The neck is large but super comfortable. It feels the same size as my 59. I haven't put this guitar down in the 2 weeks since I got it. Love the maple neck and jumbo frets - I find it to be easier to play and more comfortable than my other guitars. No tone control but that doesn't bother me. The tone knob is used as a boost(when clicked on) in the middle position. When you click it on, its like you are running thru a tube screamer. Perfect for leads or when you need a bigger note. Only works in mid position. Wonderful guitar - buy it, you won't be disappointed. I played no less than 10 different American made telecaster over last year and this Japan made model beat them all - hands down. Its well worth the money. I've had a few Mexican made telecasters and its a night and day difference.

Comments about Fender Telecaster Richie Kotzen Solid Body Electric Guitar:

The neck is just that right size of big. Not like a baseball bat, but fits my hand well. Its fun to play around with the different sounds you can get out of this guitar. Of course it plays clean and twangy well, but you can really dirty it up too!
