Comments about Fender USA Nitro Satin Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This is actually a Factory Special Run.

In mid to late 2012, Fender released the FSR American Special Stratocaster MN Satin Hand-Stained Honeyburst.

This is the exact same thing!

I have no idea why the name is changed everywhere.

When I received it in the mail, the tag attached to the headstock/strings reads:
FSR AM SPEC STRAT MN STN HBST

        This is GREAT!
This was a special run, and apparently there were some left..

        I love this guitar.
        I am a Strat guy.
Whenever I go to a guitar store to try out a pedal, an amp, etc.. I pick up a Strat or a Tele.

I went to GC to buy a pedal, and picked this baby up. I loved it!
I walked out with a hardshell case for my other Strat.

When I realized that I did not want the case, I returned it to a different GC, and they kept pushing me to swap it out for something else, so I tried out a good 5 or 6 pedals.

I picked up this guitar again because I liked the feel the first time.

After trying out several pedals, it turned out that the guitar is what I wanted.

This is the best Strat I've ever felt. (And I've played some very expensive ones.. Am. Stds, Am. Dlxs, etc..)

I came home and ordered it from Musician's Friend (because I wanted an untouched guitar, after the Fender setup).

        Everything about it is great.

It's got the same pickups that were included in the 2008-2011 American Standard Strats.

        The neck pickup is AMAZING!
The middle pickup, so far, is the only disappointing aspect of this guitar, but I have no problem switching it out for another.
The bridge pickup (dialed down to 7ish on the tone pot) is great.

Overall, especially with the 15% off for Labor Day, this is a STEAL!

Grab one of these before they're gone forever!

I believe they stopped producing them in October of 2012.

Comments about Fender USA Nitro Satin Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

You know, it's funny. I'm a child of the 80's. I guess I always liked Fenders and Gibsons, but I was caught up in that whole metal thing. I had played a ton of strats/strat copies/strat clones, etc... and they were "ok", but to me, happiness was a Charvel/Jackson or Ibanez.

          It's a genre thing I guess, whatever.

As I've gotten older though, and the metal thing has piped down, I find myself revisiting a lot of the classics. I love Gibsons, Gretsch, Ricks, etc... and recently I found myself wanting to own a strat, something I could play good old rock-n-roll with.

Fender has always irked with the way they have to offer a guitar at every price point, for every style, all the time. It makes it very difficult to navigate through the muck to find something that will actually suit you, that doesn't cost a fortune.

I knew exactly what I wanted, and was shocked when I saw this strat being offered on sale for FAR less than I thought I would have to spend for this type of strat. I ordered it,even though it was backordered, and waited like a kid at Christmas until it showed up a month or so later.

All I can say is this; I owe you strat-heads out there an apology. I flippin' LOVE this guitar. The other reviews have done a great job and covering the fit and finish and the tone. I could see getting better tuners and MAYBE some different pups (probably not though), but besides that I wouldn't change a single thing. Not one thing.

The setup was awesome right out of the box, the gig bag is nicer than most, and I just have to say that I have never... N-E-V-E-R had a guitar feel so natural in my hands so quickly. It took literally an hour for the guitar to feel like I've been playing it for years. I am impressed.

So, if you can't tell, I'm a big fan of this axe!

Comments about Fender USA Nitro Satin Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

If you know what makes a great playing, looking, strat theres not much to say. This guitar felt right-on from the moment I picked it up. Its a lot like the Highway One strats, which were decent US made guitars, but this one is better. The pickups are far and away better sounding - not the over brite sound of the Highway One. Also the wood is slightly heavier than the HWY 1, but not too heavy and not neck heavy. Workmanship is equal to any American Standard. I encountered this guitar a week ago at GC and fell in love with it right off. I bought it yesterday. I haven't felt this great about a new guitar since I bought my First Gibson Les Paul Standard a long time ago (I still have it). I can see my keeping this one for a very long time.

Comments about Fender USA Nitro Satin Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I've been a "Gibson Man" most of my life, but I always wanted a Strat. After buying this guitar, I don't pick up my Gibsons so much anymore. I absolutely love the feel of this instrument. Lovely neck, great action, and it's the perfect size for me. It is now my go to guitar. I was reluctant to buy a guitar online without taking it for a test spin first. But when I did get my hands on it I was very pleasantly surprised. I really like the oversized headstock too. All in all I am very pleased with both the quality and price of this model.

Comments about Fender USA Nitro Satin Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I had problems with the first one i recieved and had to return it. When i went to adjust the bridge screw for the 5th string it just stripped out on me . then the 6th string did the same thing. looked like the screw was ok but the hole was machined too big or something. any way i went to adjust the truss rod and set the string height but never could get it correct with the specs in the manual. just a lot of fret buzz.very dissapointed. also noticed the body made from 3 pieces of wood. not impressed for a usa made guitar.expected more for the price. the strings were the worst i've ever played. lucky for me the people at musician's friend sent out another one which i found to be much better. got the guitar neck, string height, and intonation set up very quickly, and this has very little fret buzz, plays great, great action, great sound although there is some hum in the electronics. also noticed that this one is made from only 2 pieces of wood. so far this guitar has been great. It plays easily and the clean sound is awesome! thanks musicians friend

I've had this guitar for 4 months and it is now my go to guitar. The feel of the neck is amazing. The pickups have a great sound but I can't stand stage noise so, I put in Dimarzio Area's. To have a noiseless American Strat for under a grand is a bargain.

Comments about Fender USA Nitro Satin Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

High Quality, great looking, great fret work and just all-around well built US made guitar. Fender uses the older style trem system (6 screws) instead of their newer (2 screw) system, in which I would prefer. If you are used to a Les Paul neck, it's very similar to feel and playability except for bending. The 9.5 Radius neck will not allow you to get those deep bends while maintaining a lower action without fretting out. The fix, raise the action. But, for the money, I hate to say but I feel that the Fender beats Gibson's lower line US models. If it had a 12 Radius neck, It would have gotting a Five Star Rating.

The Neck Is A Silky Satin And Feels Very Comfy, Super Nice Finish In This Honey Burst, I am Very Glad I Own One.
