This guitar has become one of my closest friends. I can't imagine not having it to play, and I wouldn't want another one right now. One day, when I'm a little more affluent, I will probably buy something nicer, like a Taylor, but now, this guitar is all I need. Plus it's acoustic-electric, which my sister's wasn't. So if you need a guitar to play that has a good sound for a college-student's wallet size, buy this one. You won't be disappointed.
The preamp and controls are solidly built. The battery compartment has a tendency to slip if you don't make absolutely sure that the catch has clicked securely in place--that's my only warning. The frets are good, the tuners are great quality, and, although I would have liked a solid-top, the laminate still gives awesome sound.
Everything on this guitar is well built. I can't find a single flaw with the construction. Solid sound, and good looks.
I am a fairly new guitarist, so this is my first guitar. but I've made the rounds playing other people's guitars for the past year and a half. I learned to play on my sister's Breedlove and probably would still be playing that if she wasn't moving away. I've played Taylors and a Yamaha and various other brands that aren't really worth mentioning. I've played enough good and bad guitars to know the difference. This is a decent guitar. It's not a Breedlove or a Taylor, but it's a great guitar for someone who can't afford a Breedlove or a Taylor. It's dependable and sturdy and it has a great price. I would buy it again with no questions asked. For the money, you just can't ask for more.

this guitar is very solid and produces great tones, I am able to play anything from funk to blues on it without any adjustment, and when you plug it in the side controls take away any need to adjust your amp, and the tuners are effortless, and the way the jack is integrated with a strap stud is convienient, the only problem I have with this guitar is that it is a bit heavy, not too bad though, with a strap you wouldn't even feel it, and I would have liked a built in tuner, but i already have an external one, so it isn't a big deal really
it is a great value, for the price you have a guitar that can play bluesy tones or if you plug it in with a distortion, gives you some beefy metal tones and still screeches when you want it to. with that the tuners are efoortless and are actually quite pleasant looking along with the black finish, and the white trim adds a nice contrast to it and really makes it pop.

I bought this guitar to get back into playing. I had played for 5 years previously before having to sell everything. I love this guitar, I had the strings changed by a local shop and got an amp. It sounds great with or without the amp but best with the amp. :) Can't beat the value!
Oh, I got the transparent blue... absolutely beautiful. Looks like Blue Burst.

I wanted a cheap decent acoustic/electric guitar that wouldn't break my bank and be a good compliment to my picking style of playing. After having read some of the reviews that was already posted, I was sold on this Ibanez model. This guitar was pretty well ready to go out of the box when I received it. After a couple of weeks though, I decided to tailor the action down to my liking by having the nut lowered. We also changed the cheap strings that it came with. The technician threw on some 10's. Now this baby is sounding really great plugged or unplugged. When going through a speaker cabinet, I add an eq pedal. The end result now is, I can better control my high's and low's for a cleaner,brighter sound. I even tried it with a distortion pedal and to my surprise, sounded great.

This guitar came very quickly with regular shipping and was also able to get another discount on it. Have nothing buit the best to say about the people who I talked with on the phone at Musicians friend. This guitar is great for the price and actually feel it is worth more. Have been playing for 20 + years for fun and at times professionally. I have an Ibanez electric guitar as well and my old 20 year old generic acoustic finally gave in so this is like a dream to play especially with the cutaway I dont have to set up the electric as much. Great product.

This was my first acoustic. I walked into the acoustic room at [@] picked it up, began playing and immediately fell in love with it. It was exactly what I was looking for. The action was very high when I first got it though, so I had to lower it. It's also very bulky and large, so if you're looking for a concert sized acoustic, don't get. Other than that, it's a great acoustic.
