    Best Uses

Comments about Kremona Romida Classical Guitar:

I bought a Kremona Romida from Musician's Friend (MF) several months ago (August 2015). I got a great price because it was marked as a level 2. (I think "open box" is level one, and level 2 is perhaps a return or a blemished instrument.) I decided to give it a try because the price was so good. I'm sure glad I did. I could find nothing at all wrong with it. I would not expect to get a better guitar than the Romida in the $1200 range. Although I paid less, I would have paid the full price for this guitar. The Romida has great workmanship and eye appeal, but it is the sound that is most important to me. I've never been as happy with a guitar as this one. I have a Lucida LG777 (cedar top) that sounds good, but doesn't compete with the Romida. I have also owned 2 or 3 high-end factory Yamahas over the years that I liked but, again, they do not compare well with the Romida. Have also tried many more expensive classical guitars at shops over the years and never felt they were worth the money.

I would like to mention that I had previously bought a Level 1 (open box) Romida from MF at close to full price. When I received it, I was very surprised to find that, although it was a Romida, it had a cedar top! I am sure of this. (Maybe it had the wrong label?) Although it was a good sounding guitar, I bought a Romida because I wanted to move to spruce (I already had the cedar top LG777!). MF cheerfully let me return the guitar, and I bought the level 2 that I have now. The color, grain, sound, and fragrance of the top is very different from the first Romida I received. It is unmistakably spruce. I'm telling this story to let you know that unexpected things can happen, but MF is very willing to work with you. At least they always have been for me.

      Met my expectations

Comments about Kremona Romida Classical Guitar:

This was a massive improvement in build and tone quality from a spanish made student guitar I've been using since 1999. I was not disappointed when I received the guitar, and the UPS delivery woman was HOT, WMMV on that one :p

      Superior Sound Quality

      from California

Comments about Kremona Romida Classical Guitar:

Was first introduced to the Fiesta model at a guitar shop. After playing roughly every model of classical the shop had to offer it was obvious that the Orpheus Valley line had the edge. The Romida model was not at the store so i settled with the fiesta model as it was clearly the best the shop had to offer (keep in mind i played several $1700+ guitars). However the one i received had a minor flaw which i sent back for an exchange- so glad i did. On the spur of the moment i changed my order to the Romida model. It was a touch more expensive but when i received the guitar it was very clear i had made a wise choice.

All wood construction and a quality craftmanship. Nice appointments with attention to detail. It was clear whoever made the guitar takes pride in their work. This is the most eye appealing guitar i have seen.

The sound quality is superb (even came with quality strings) and being a spruce top you know it is just going to get better and better. It has a very versatile and dynamic sound.

It is a pitty that very few street shops carry the model as you really need to play it to understand the sound quality. The fiesta is a great guitar but in my opinion the Romida is a step up.
