Comments about Lucero LC100CE Acoustic-Electric Cutaway Classical Guitar:
So after researching I decided to purchase this guitar mostly because I needed a inexpensive classical that had a pickup for playing live. When the delivery guy handed it to me it felt like an empty box. It is a VERY light guitar. And as you can imagine this makes a huge difference in the sound quality. Little to no bass response. I've had other guitars with a "plywood" top but none sounded this thin. And the strings? Take them right off and throw them away. Don't waste any time trying to tune or set the intonation without new strings. So after stringing it up I plugged it in to my PA. The pickup was SO dissapointing. Two controls. One for tone. One for volume. The tone goes from mud to tin can with little in between. The volume has to be all the way up to for it to be heard and even that is not enough. I had to turn the PA gain on that channel to 9 to get it even with my other acoustic guitar's volume. Wow, what a let down. The ONLY saving grace of this guitar is the neck.
So don't make the mistake I made and order this because it was the cheapest acoustic/electric classical and remember the old adage is correct in this case...you get what you pay for.

Comments about Lucero LC100CE Acoustic-Electric Cutaway Classical Guitar:
Here, you get more than you pay for, remembering what you're actually paying. A fun, versatile guitar that's initially hard to play for a flattop player due to its wide, classical fingerboard. Get used to it! It's worth it for the sound and the fun. Not to mention for the exercise! Well worth the sale price for the fun, the acoustic sound, and, most fun of all, the passively amplified sound through my acoustic amp.
Pros
- Decent tuners
- Excellent neck shape
- Flat fretboard radius
- Good on-board electronics
- Has a cut-away body
- Has a truss rod
- Quality tone woods
- Wonderful tone
Cons
- Buzzy screws in pre-amp
- Urethane finish

Comments about Lucero LC100CE Acoustic-Electric Cutaway Classical Guitar:
I never intended to buy this instrument when I walked into the guitar store. But, after playing every nylon string guitar in the store (including some very pricey high-end instruments made by name-brand luthiers), I found this guitar to be the equal of all those instruments and more, save for the lack of fancy inlays and bindings. I bought it for [$] and have been very happy with it ever since. This is my main guitar. I play primarily finger-style jazz (bossa-nova style). I have been playing for almost 20 years.I had to put a felt shim in the on-board electronics to get rid of a buzz that would appear at certain resonant frequencies. That would be the only flaw this guitar had (which is easily addressed).I could not recommend this guitar more highly. It is a true player's instrument.

Comments about Lucero LC100CE Acoustic-Electric Cutaway Classical Guitar:
One of the best inexpensive guitars I have ever seen !!
I bought one of the Lucero LC200ce, and was surprised by the high quality and good tone of the instrument!
The LC100ce looks exactly the same to me and has all the same features.
If you want to own a classical electric guitar at a small cost, this is the guitar for you !!
The only problem I found was that the high E and low E strings were lower in volume through the amp, and it needed a good preamp to boost the level to a useable volume.
The balance of string volume can be adjusted by carefully shaping the bottom of the bridge saddle to obtain eaqual pressure on the piezo pickups in the bridge. Not very difficult to do with a straight edge ruler and fine sandpaper....
My advise is to get one quickly before they dissapear completely !!!
Beautiful wood and finish.
Cheap at twice the price!
Comments about Lucero LC100CE Acoustic-Electric Cutaway Classical Guitar:
This guitar is absolutely beautiful. I got this guitar for my birthday and can't find a way to stop playing it! The craftsmanship is a wonderful work of art and sound like its way more than its worth. The only down side was that I had to wait at least two months because it was on back order, but it wwas well worth the wait. The price is unbeatable and if you don't buy it, you're pretty stupid. :D
