Comments about Ovation Elite 2058 TX 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

The guitars action was close & comfortable. The body & construction just felt like it would easily be broken if dropped. Overall, was just not satisfied especially after playing it unplugged. I shipped it back for a refund.

Comments about Ovation Elite 2058 TX 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar surprised me for a mid range guitar. The black top, large neck and no fret markers makes this look like a killer, quality, almost industrial strength 12 string. From the first time i strummed the first song i played - knocking on heavens door, it was like the first time i played guitar again. This is my first 12 string but i have played others. This is my favourite one to date. If i could have any one it would be a Guild jumbo, but for the money this is the one i decided on. There is so much depth to the sound (strings that are tuned in octaves) that it sounds like there are mutlitple insturments being played. This guitar takes an average sounding chord or riff and just produces an almost orchestra sounding effect which is what i was after!! It makes going back to a six string seem like a lot of sound is missing. On the down side, the bowl is deep, not jumbo. and the sound hole is at the top, not in the middle so it does not project a ton of sound. Plugging into an amp more than makes up for that though. It has a built in tuner and eq so you can manipulate the sound and adjust for higher low, mid or high end, whichever you want. It does not come with a case. It does come with strings that just require slight tightening to get the sound. It stays in good tuning from day to day and requires only small tweaking. It is made in Korea. There are no fret markers but the banding does have fret dots on the top so it does take some getting used to.
