About Me Experienced

Ask me a question

Pros

  • Coil Tapping Active
  • Great Looks Nice Neck
  • Locking Tuners

Cons

  • Emgs Sound Generic
  • Generic Active Pickups

Best Uses

  • Metalheavy Metal

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Hellraiser Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

There is in my opinion only one shortcoming and its just my personal taste.. I think active pickups just sound generic or "canned" I have never really cared for active pickups. and I believe that duncan blackouts sound warmer.. that being said.. the new version of the EMGs can be coil split.. indidually or together which gives you some different tones.. If you are into slight nuances in tone.. more for a classic rock guitarist than hi-gain heavy metal. This is a beautiful instument with a gibsonesque neck profile.. If you like thicker necks then this is a winner.. but if you are loking for a thin neck "Dinky" or Ibanez wizard.. you may think your holding a baseball bat. I give it a 9+ if you like thicker necks and EMG active pickups add 1 point.

Nice!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Hellraiser Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

When I was looking for a new guitar I really wanted something versatile and of high quality, and I certainly found it. The pro's: Stable tuning, comfortable feel, great playability, and EMG's make for great tone. It is very possible to go from heavy distorted parts all the way to crisp cleans. The overall quality is also unbelievable! Normally I find that left handed guitars are somewhat on the cheesy side, but this is quite the exception. Everything will be to satisfaction.Cons: There are none! This will most likely not be your last Schecter.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Hellraiser Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

It's bad enough that lefties are short changed by all of the big names, but not here. Schecter has a great choices for lefties and these are high quality guitars. I own the hellraiser sunset FR and no complaints, none! Before your next purchase, if you have not tried one out, do yourself a favor and play as many as you can get your hands on. Adirondack Guitars has a complete line of them in lefty.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Hellraiser Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I just recived my c1 hellraiser and am stoked that it comes lefty cause there arent a lot of leftys out there. The black cherry finish is amazing and the abalone binding sets it off perfectly. The emg pickups sound great clean or can become roaring metal makers in a second. No regrets with purchase my first electric and you cannot go wrong with this guitar!

Scecter C-1 Hellraiser

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Hellraiser Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I have been playing for almost two years now. I upgraded to this after owning a Squier strat(also lefty). I have a fender stage 1000 amp and this guitar sounds amazing! The pickups allow a wide tonal range and the push/pull coil tap feature is also very nice. I have had it for about five months now and it probably won

You don't know what you're missing

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Hellraiser Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

The model I purchased is the Hellraiser Sunset FR.I'm still taken back by what a great guitar this is for the money, even at two or three times this price. This company made a real comeback and is leading the way to high quality, highend componant at an affordable price range. The craftsmanship makes my Fender and Gibson guitars look like they're just riding on their names, and I love both of those instruments. The Schecter out performs them both in hardware and ability to control tone. It does not go out of tune even after beating and tugging the bar and the coil split provides a full range that is not offered by the mentioned manufacturers. If I were them, I'd be very concerned about what is coming out of South Korea. No Joking, this is a great guitar at all levels.
