This guitar is very good if you are starting to play electric guitar. The pickups are pretty good out of the box, but I will probably replace them with some EMGs. The gloss black finish is phenomenal and it shines up really nice after you wipe it with a microfiber cloth. The neck is a little thick but is very fast and fit for shredding. It stays in tune nicely and has some great sustain for some sweet solos and riffs. It has a lot of more lower tones than you might expect. It will scream with distortion and will sing with clean tones. It also has some real nice crunch to it. Overall, it is a nice guitar to start out with and I recommend it to anyone looking for a guitar for rock out with.

I regret buying this guitar, it has no power or strength behind the noise. I wish I would have played the guitar more before I got it. If you like to rock, don't buy this guitar - and if don't like to rock, don't buy it either!

this guitar is quality

By Blake Margot

from danboro, PA

the only problem i had about this guitar was the pickups, they used to lose all tone when switching back from the neck to the bridge pickup. all that came through was a little bit of distortion. it went away after about 4 months of playing, but it was annoying non-the-less.
simple features, one volume knob, one tone knob, one toggle switch. but its a great find. anything by schecter is quality and worth the price.
the guitar feels like a quality guitar. no cosmetic flaws that i could see. its durable, the pickups are decent. great for stock pickups.
this guitar is awesome for the price. it feels like something for around a 500-600 dollar guitar.

A great guitar for beginners through experts.

By JLoki95

from South Pasadena, CA

I've been playing guitar for almost three years, and the Schecter Omen 6 made the perfect second guitar for me. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or expert, this guitar plays great, sounds amazing, and the price is the icing on the cake. If you're looking for something to start with, or just want to add to your collection, look no further, the Omen 6 is the answer.

All Hail Schecter

I got this guitar a little while ago and was immediately blown away at what I got for my money. The body is awesome and my glossy black finish is flawless. The pickups are great, might swap them out for Duncans later, but right now I am happy with the stock pups. It came set up right out of the box. It comes with D'addario 10s and a Grap Tech Tusq nut. If you don't have a lot of money and want a quality instrument the, Omen 6 is by far the best way to go!

Good Deal

By Growlsofterror

from St. Louis

This guitar is an overall good deal.It was a drastic improvement from your average Walmart guitar for sure. The tone rings long and smooth on clean, and the distortion roars all night long. Some complaints I would have however, is the wiring. After sauteing the input jack, I discovered how frail it was straight from the factory. Also, I find (at least for my style) that it would benefit from some EMG pickups, for it lacks some attack when it comes to high-volume playing.

GOOD GUITAR!!

By hardcoredarksky

from Luray, VA

I just got it today and I love it! It sounds very good!! I have a Seymour Duncan pickup no my other guitar and they sound just about the same! Its a very beautiful guitar too and its light. The only thing that I wish it had was a whammy bar, that would be the only thing, and that it got here faster because it was kinda slow getting here, but I love it!

This is a really cool guitar

By justin-AkOY1

from Oregon

This is my first electric guitar so i dont have anything to base this on, but this seems to be a really great guitar. The tone is very good whether using clean or distorted. I like the tone and the look better than my friend's Squier Strat. It stays in tune good. The 24 fret design is nice because you can go higher than the normal 22. It is a bit heavy but not too bad. It weighs about 7 or 8 pounds. I bought the black version, I thought it had white stripes on the side but it didnt, I dont know if this was a mistake or if it doesn't have white stripes or if they left it off of the lefty version. I dont really care though it looks awesome all black.

You will never get this much guitar for this price

By Nathan Hewett

from Columbus, MS

I have had this guitar for 2 days now and LOVE it. I bought it because all the Strats and stuff were backordered and I couldn't wait to get a guitar. It plays well, sounds good, and even looks good. I was not expecting this when I ordered it. I had every intention of getting a Les Paul in a few months, and no doubt I will even waste that $$$$. This thing is GREAT!!! Please feel free to email me with questions or if you want some detailed pics. You will not believe how nice this guitar is, I promise!!

I loved this guiar from the first time i saw it, but when i bought, i knew it was the perfect guitar for me. I hook mine u, to the "dod fx86 death metal distortion pedal", and it's beautiful, i couldn't ask for a better guitar. it's metal madness.
