This guitar is very good if you are starting to play electric guitar. The pickups are pretty good out of the box, but I will probably replace them with some EMGs. The gloss black finish is phenomenal and it shines up really nice after you wipe it with a microfiber cloth. The neck is a little thick but is very fast and fit for shredding. It stays in tune nicely and has some great sustain for some sweet solos and riffs. It has a lot of more lower tones than you might expect. It will scream with distortion and will sing with clean tones. It also has some real nice crunch to it. Overall, it is a nice guitar to start out with and I recommend it to anyone looking for a guitar for rock out with.

I regret buying this guitar, it has no power or strength behind the noise. I wish I would have played the guitar more before I got it. If you like to rock, don't buy this guitar - and if don't like to rock, don't buy it either!

This guitar is an overall good deal.It was a drastic improvement from your average Walmart guitar for sure. The tone rings long and smooth on clean, and the distortion roars all night long. Some complaints I would have however, is the wiring. After sauteing the input jack, I discovered how frail it was straight from the factory. Also, I find (at least for my style) that it would benefit from some EMG pickups, for it lacks some attack when it comes to high-volume playing.
This is my first electric guitar so i dont have anything to base this on, but this seems to be a really great guitar. The tone is very good whether using clean or distorted. I like the tone and the look better than my friend's Squier Strat. It stays in tune good. The 24 fret design is nice because you can go higher than the normal 22. It is a bit heavy but not too bad. It weighs about 7 or 8 pounds. I bought the black version, I thought it had white stripes on the side but it didnt, I dont know if this was a mistake or if it doesn't have white stripes or if they left it off of the lefty version. I dont really care though it looks awesome all black.
I just got it today and I love it! It sounds very good!! I have a Seymour Duncan pickup no my other guitar and they sound just about the same! Its a very beautiful guitar too and its light. The only thing that I wish it had was a whammy bar, that would be the only thing, and that it got here faster because it was kinda slow getting here, but I love it!
Great sound, great feel, great guitar.
I have had this guitar for 2 days now and LOVE it. I bought it because all the Strats and stuff were backordered and I couldn't wait to get a guitar. It plays well, sounds good, and even looks good. I was not expecting this when I ordered it. I had every intention of getting a Les Paul in a few months, and no doubt I will even waste that $$$$. This thing is GREAT!!! Please feel free to email me with questions or if you want some detailed pics. You will not believe how nice this guitar is, I promise!!
I loved this guiar from the first time i saw it, but when i bought, i knew it was the perfect guitar for me. I hook mine u, to the "dod fx86 death metal distortion pedal", and it's beautiful, i couldn't ask for a better guitar. it's metal madness.
When I first got this guitar, I had my doubts..Never really played anything of the Schecter series...This is the best guitar for what you pay for, there is no doubt in my mind about buying this axe...I've never even gotten this great of a sound from any other guitar within this price range. Must have.
I've been playin for about 7 years and own my fair share of pricey guitars. I got this guitar for christmas and by itself it wasnt to special, it played fantastic but there was something lacking in tone, that next week I went out and put the zack wylde set of EMG pickups in it and it just made a world of differece, I would buy this guitar in a SECOND if it were stolen or broken. I highly recommend this guitar.
This is a rahter medeoker guitar, but has a pretty good sound to it. I like the way when you hook a ringing "E" the beautiful noises it produces I recommend this guitar to some who would like a guitar signed by green day. Over all, its a pretty good buy.
Just a hard time finding great quality left-hand guitars. need more variety backed by top-quality.with and without tremelo double locking set-ups. Schecter Really Rocks.
