This seagull guitar rocks! This is a gorgeous, shapely guitar. It is so easy to play since the top bout is slightly more shallow. The electronics work great and tuning is super fast. I love, repeat, love the rustic burst on this acoustic. All around I'm very pleased.
I cannot complain one bit about the craftmanship of the Seagull Entourage Mini Jumbo Acoustic Guitar. I bought this a year ago and have put it up against all the guitars of the same caliber and this one impresses the most. It sounded great right out of the box and continues to impress. I would have liked to have had Seagull install a strap pin on the neck side at the factory, but directions for doing it yourself are on their website and it wasn't difficult. Overall, for the money, this guitar is the one you should buy.
I got this as my first guitar, so of course in the shop I didn't know how to play it, I had to go on sound alone. I think that tells you enough. This thing sounds awesome, looks awesome and as I now know, it plays nicely as well. Fantastic value, all of the "professional" guitarists I have spoken to say they love it (I do know professional guitarists) and I love it too. Mine is now well and truly thrashed though, as the top is a bit soft, but even with finish missing, millions of scratches and even a crack in the back, it sounds as nice as the day I bought it. Good Guitar.
I was about to pull the trigger on a Taylor 214 CE,when I heard about this guitar. The Taylor is a sweet guitar, but for about one third the price go for a Seagull. I was shocked by the sound of this guitar. It is loud and deep. The tone is fantastic. The stock tuners do a good job keeping the instrument in tune. I swapped end pins around trying tusq and ebony, but found the stock plastic sound best. Tweak the sound by trying different strings. The neck is easy to play, though I might give a slight edge to the Taylor here. The Seagull also has a beautiful finish. This guitar will rival others many times it's price. A Best Buy!
This guitar is one of those rare finds in an instrument; sounds fantastic, plays great, and looks outstanding. A cliche for sure, but you simply can't go wrong buying this guitar!
I have played Taylors & Martins costing 2-3 times as much that sounded less impressive. The fit & finish is beautiful. Factory set up is great. The sound is clear, bright and balanced. Few acoustics play this well up the neck too. The neck size is comfortable and it feels fast to the touch. If you want to impress your friends with "the same thing Clapton plays" then by all means toss down a G or so on the Martin myth. If you are looking for something that has superior sound at any price you need a Seagull. Hand made in Canada is kind of nice too. It's a shame that so many instruments come from Mexico, China, and who knows where else! Say no to the Meximartins that sound like cardboard boxes and yes to a great sounding north american made masterpiece. Got it? I'm not kidding. In a cookie-cutter product world Seagull is in a class like no other. One has to wonder why the other guy's have to charge so much more to deliver so much less. it's shameful.
I picked this guitar up at a local store, I was playing similarly priced yamaha's and this one won me over with the full tone, and the finish. The build quality on this guitar is also quite good. Overall I'd recommend this guitar to someone who wants to upgrade from a cheap guitar...
WOW! Am I impressed. I researched and played several similar guitars but none could not reproduce the tone of this guitar. The bass is mellow, the mids soft and the highs really sweet. Strum or pick it a little agressive and it rings out. The action is close and it plays easily up and down the neck. It's easy on the eyes but again this guitar sounds and plays awesome. It'll soon be a classic. This guitar begs to play all those cool old ballads and lends itself to the solo singer/songwriters.
This is an amazing guitar. Especially for the price. I've even been using it to record. The only flaw with this guitar is that it isn't from a larger brand. This is a top quality guitar for a low price. Definately reccomend this guitar to anybody.
i friend just purchased this and he is still in the early learning stages, so i usually was stealing it off him to play. sounds great, good low action and just simply a amazing guitar for the price. if you told me it was double the price i would not question it,give it a try and you wont be dissapointed.
