Comments about Takamine TSF48C Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I play regular acoustic gigs at a local bar, solo. Just a guitar and mic plugged straight into the PA. NOTHING I own can put out this level of clarity and richness. It is inspiring to play and sing with this guitar. Makes me sound better acoustically and vocally. Does that make sense? Hard to explain if you don't get it. Anyway, this TSF48C rocks anything you ask from it. For sub $2,000 it is the BEST acoustic electric out there. Fast, comfortable neck. Looks stunning on stage.
Comments about Takamine TSF48C Acoustic Electric Guitar:
First off, I do not typically purchase by name brand, but by sound and playability. Last year I picked up my first new Takamine, it is a EG523SC G Style (It has about a 1? wider body) and it was love from first sound. This thing projects like nothing I have ever owned. Even my wife said wow that thing has a great sound. For the money I still think this is the best deal in the $$$ category. My buddies all play the other high end products $3-5K and definitely nice stuff. So I started digging around (that?s always a potential problem) and ran across the Takamine Santa Fe TSF48C. It is more of a high end product than anything I have owned. Honestly I was looking for a more user friendly guitar because my fingers tend to get somewhat sore after the first set of 8 to 10 songs. ?I know more practice may also help?. I have had the TSF48C for a couple of weeks now and so far so good. It actually does not project nearly as the 523 G body because of the standard body size, but it has a great warm sound, and out of the box frets well. It?s looks are a total knockout and the cool tube amp is warm on my Finder Acoustasonic Jr amp. I was already getting complements on the sound of the 523 and this thing I feel bumps it up a notch. This time I admit I purchased because of name brand, I wanted something different than the rest of the crew without giving up quality. I rate the Takamine EG523SC G body 5 Stars because of sound, looks and quality. I purchased what I thought was a Takamine case for my 523 (from a different name brand guitar store) and sent it back due to lack of quality (It had a rub on Takamine gold sticker on the top and the latches and padding on the inside was less than acceptable to me) it may have been a knock off. I had them reorder a TKL case and it is a good case. I rate the Takamine TSF48C Santa Fe 5 Stars because of the playability, Sound, Features and Knockout Looks. Note: The TKL Hardshell case that came with mine Is the dark vinal finish with gold latches, raised top cover and is a quality piece. (However is different than the black molded case shown in product features with the Takamine inprint on the lid). I decided to not even mention it to the store because it is a nice peace for me and I do not plan to travel with it. I am pleased with the product and by the way my wife likes it too! She thinks I?m a good picker and I Love her for it.
Comments about Takamine TSF48C Acoustic Electric Guitar:
Recently I added the Takamine TSF48C Santa Fe to my arsenal of guitars and it is fast becoming my favorite. I own four Takamine guitars and like the others the TSF48C Tak is reliable, strikingly good looking, very playable, and the sound is unbeleiveable. My goal was to purchase mainly a fingerstyle guitar but with the ability to be an all round player. I Checked out the Taylor CE714 and CE814 and my local dealer gave me am unheard of price on either of these units but in the end the Tak won my heart in appearance, sound, and all round quality, and at a price much more in line with reality. I've owned Martin's, Gibson's and others but in my opinion The TSF48C Santa Fe with it's ebony finger board and bridge, bone nut and saddles, solid spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, and killer cooltube electronics with tuner is too good of a deal for any guitar player to pass up. Order yours now. You will not be disapointed.
Comments about Takamine TSF48C Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I have been a long time Martin player but was getting tired of mic'ing at gigs. Checked out many guitars (Martins, Taylors, Gibson, Guild)and found the Takamine to play and sound the best of them all. Sounds good acoustically but when you plug it in, watch out. Great sound and versitle for the price. Has turned into my favorite guitar. Buy it, you won't be sorry!
Comments about Takamine TSF48C Acoustic Electric Guitar:
The Takamine ESF48C Acoustic-Electric is a very versitile guitar. With it's on board EQ you get everything from a silky clean sound to full body crunch. I can not begin to tell you how many times this guitar has saved me. From cranking it out in a 5000 seat arena to a room full of 20 people unplugged, the guitar has always performed flawlessly. A very dependable instrument.
Comments about Takamine TSF48C Acoustic Electric Guitar:
This guitar is similar to the ESF40C Acustic-Electric in which I own. This is the same guitar Howie Day uses and this is build of that same guitar. They body and everything. This guitar is unbelieveable. Plugged in or not. The tone just makes you melt. You can really feel the tone and this acustic hits hard and rips when plugged in. Get it. I've only played a few guitars including Taylors that can match this sound.
Comments about Takamine TSF48C Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I spent a day driving around looking at every acoustic/electric I could lay my hands on and ended up spending twice my intended budget on one of these babies!! I've previously owned a G-Series Takamine and have been a fan ever since then but this guitar is something special. Once I played it nothing matched up. Finish is stunning, beautiful sound acoustically and plugged in. Downside... it's too nice to want to use live in case I damage it!!! :)
Comments about Takamine TSF48C Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I tested this guitar out acoustically. What suprised me was the sound. The tone suggested 12 strings when in fact it only has six. The guitar would sing the notes with clear sustain. It is a flatpicker's dream guitar or a finger-picker's guitar. I did not bother plugging the guitar in. I fell in love with the acoustic alone sound. If I could have only two acoustics, this would be one. The other would be a Larrivee parlor for tight places and small rooms.
