Comments about Yamaha CGS Student Classical Guitar:

This is a great little guitar. This is not a toy but a full-featured classical guitar. I was looking for a smaller scale classical guitar to make playing with arthritis easier in terms of reach and fretboard width. It certainly worked! This has become my favorite guitar. Although the workmanship is not what it used to be (glue obvious, rough edges, etc.), Yamaha still manages to make an inexpensive guitar with wonderful tone and reponsiveness. It is great for travel and regular play.

      • Excellent sound quality
      • Great starter guitar

      • Needs Frequent Tuning

      Best Uses

Comments about Yamaha CGS Student Classical Guitar:

Highly recommended by my kid's guitar teacher. It was definitely a great buy. It sounds great for a beginner guitar. The size is perfect for my 8 year old daughter. I would highly recommend a nylon string guitar like this for a newbie. My daughter tried a guitar with metal strings and it tends to cause some pain on her fingers.

        • Great Tone High And Low

        Best Uses

        • Great learning tool
        • Great Tv Guitar

Comments about Yamaha CGS Student Classical Guitar:

This guitar plays true and great. The tone is full from the bottom to the top. Great bass tone without being boomy. Great full high notes without being thin. The short scale accounts for the light touch needed to fret this instrument. To be picky, the back of the neck has a little rough spot, and a lacquer buildup where the finger board meets the body.

My friend has this guitar and the full-size. This is what he uses to jam and practice. I played his and ordered mine that day. Fits me well and I'm practicing twice as much.
