This instrument was great out of the box. I plugged it in to a Sonic Stomp before plugging in to the 15W amp supplied. Plenty of solid sound and volume. Instrument very easy to play. It holds tuning great. I normally play an acoustic when I play gigs byut I would not be afraid to use this guitar. I can't believe all the stuff included with the pack. Nice job Yamaha.

The guitar pack somehow came without the cord for plugging the guitar into the amp. I notified MF customer service and they quickly let me pick out a new cord and sent it to me the next day free of charge. MF customer service is the best! Thanks guys!

Great for beginners. My nephew started to use it right away with no problems. The only turn down is the noice in the amplifier generated for the lack of ground for the electronics.

Good starter kit. This is my first guitar and did not want to invest too much money on a beginner setup. The guitar holds tuning more than expected. The light weight strings that were mounted on it were replaced with the regular gauges when my finger tips toughened up (the heavier strings also stopped the fret buzz). The truss rod could not be turned to my initial satisfaction due to the dryness of the wood. this was solved with exposure to moisture. The amp was more than I expected for the price. I did order a different strap but the one with the set was sufficient for the beginner and the price. If you want a starter kit that is decent, this fills the order.

I've been playing almost 50 years now and after tons of guitars, I must say this is the best intermediate you will ever find! I have played this guitar and never have I been let down in its built in quality. Great for anyone at anytime in their guitar playing odyssey!

yo dudes get this guitar it is freakin awesome it is shaped like a fender strat so its comfertable and it has a huge ass humbucker to do the dirty work so buy it and you will get 10,000 dollars because you will sound so good the only problem i have is buzzing when i do power chords but i just turn my amp up louder

This was actually my first guitar. However, the amp really makes the guitar sound bad, I would recommend you to use a different amp. I have a Fender 25R and that really fits in. Its a great guitar overall!

My cousin has this guitar package. The guitar is good. It plays well. The amp has distortion on it.You won't really need a distortion pedal. This package is awsome. I would buy it for my self. Maybe get a different amp. Great bigginer guitar.
