A great companion for the Moog Werkstatt 01, Minitaur and other synthesizers, the Mother-32 is meticulously designed to provide musicians with a diverse array of creative tools to inspire new music, unique sound and endless sonic exploration.

It comes secured in a rugged extruded aluminum skiff with wood sides and it can be easily transferred into any Eurorack skiff. Comments about Moog Mother-32 Semi Modular Synth Module:

2 stars instead of one because the sound is great. However, the MIDI problems are unbearable. The two mains problems are (1) poor sync abilities with any DAW or hardware sequencer. Everything from timing drifts, to false starts/stops. Second (2) MIDI problem is a weird one. If you use an external MIDI keyboard, after 30-45 seconds of playing, the MIDI Note Off CC creates a secondary note. It's unplayable. The only remedy offered for this is start, stop, restart the internal sequencer (even if you're not using it!), then it will stop the secondary note for another 30-45 seconds before it starts playing the secondary note again. Incredibly frustrating. Shame that such a wonderful brand like Moog is putting out such flawed and bugged out products.

Comments about Moog Mother-32 Semi Modular Synth Module:

This is an excellent synth no matter how you intend to use it. If you are looking to get into analog synths, this is the perfect entry point. Easy to use/learn and extremely musical, you couldn't ask for a better first analog synthesizer. If you are looking to add to your existing Eurorack, this thing is fully Eurorack compatible with 32 patch points to interface with your existing modules (got a cool sound going? send it through that lovely Moog ladder filter...your cool sound just got cooler...). If you are looking to get into modular synthesizers and want to start a Eurorack, this is an excellent foundation to build on. I can't say enough good things about this synth. It has been a jolt of creativity and a breath of fresh air for me after using soft-synths for 15+ years.

Comments about Moog Mother-32 Semi Modular Synth Module:

The Mother 32 is a perfect add-on to modern DAW's.
The Mother has the ability to kick out beefed up baselines.
However, the drawback is the Mother 32 does not have presets, which makes the unit a studio keeper.
On the flip side, the Moog Minitaur is slightly smaller and does have presets making a perfect carry along for live gigs (at the cost of modular patching).

Comments about Moog Mother-32 Semi Modular Synth Module:

I have the Mom32 installed in my eurorack and for what it does, it may be the best value in modular. It's a complete synth voice, with a decently featured step sequencer, and it integrates with other modules and synths quite well. You can finally have that classic Moog sound in your Eurorack!
