Love this piano. It's gorgeous and sounds realistic. Keyboard action is really good and responsive. Pedals as well. You can spend a lot on a digital piano nowadays and I feel like these suzuki's give you the most bang for the buck. I have two small kids who are starting lessons and I play as well so it's perfect for that. I also like the"micro grand" look. It doesn't take up a huge amount of space but still has the elegant look when you prop the lid open.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

I bought this piano Oct, and 3 Weeks later in Nov it had stopped working.

ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH BUILD QUALITY

Musician's Friend Service was just as bad
Musician's Friend immediately passed me off to SUZUKI for something that was not even a month old.
Even though it clearly says they should have a 45 day NO Hassle return, they made excuses that "Suzuki likes to repair their own stuff", and that is a mistake you should not make.

I was hoping to use this with Family during thanksgiving and that never happened. It was more an embarrassment than anything else. A piano that you can only use for a few days. Why is anyone allowed to sell this piece of junk?

3 Weeks later and the "person" at Suzuki has been simply giving lies and excuses repeatedly.
Suzuki has a guy whom MF is quite familiar with and eager to pass you off to immediately instead of the No hassle return. This guy simply answers the phone and tells you everything is taken care of, parts are on the way and will email you a tracking number. This is the scripted response for 3 weeks straight. You will neither get a tracking number or any part, the tracking number is always just not within his reach when you call back again and he will tell you don't worry he'll email it to you. This is the response you will get every time you call. When I finally called him out on his constant lies, he starts making it about himself being in the same boat (are you being serious??).

I would definitely not buy anything from Musician's Friend or Suzuki ever again, I also DO NOT recommend anyone buy anything from Musician's Friend or Suzuki after my own experience. I was simply being strung along so that they can say it has past the return window.

As for me, I'm going to turn this over to the credit card company, because it incredible for one to buy a piano that works for only 3 weeks and then not be able to get it replaced or repaired.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Black Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I have had my piano for a year, and while I love the sound and the feel/touch of the keys, it makes a strange popping sound and turns itself off in about 50% of the time I play. Since there is no real manufacturer's support once you buy this instrument, I'm stuck. I WOULD recommend this item...if it wasn't for this consistent problem.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Black Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I bought the piano for my daughter to practice in her room. Unfortunately after the second day, keys were sticking and she found it difficult to play due to the touch. As a professional musician - I likewise find it difficult to get a consistent sound. Some keys go down easily others are difficult which hinders you from being able to press the keys with normal pressure and get a consistent sound. I would have sent it back immediately - but unfortunately I disposed of the packaging as it was a Christmas surprise. LOL. I bought the service package, but no one will come to the home to work on it. You have to take it to them and of course the piano is very heavy and the legs have to be removed before transporting.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Black Micro Grand Digital Piano:

Piano is beautiful, and fairly easy for two people to assemble. Everything works exactly as described. Keyboard response is very good, and feels like an acoustic piano. The only drawback is the sound is not perfect. The upper register keys sound better than the low register keys, but none are spot on. Other brands we tried in the store sounded closer to the real thing. Overall though, we are very satisfied.

I saw many comments about it being hard to assemble - but I found it as expected - it is a large piano, so... I do wish it was easier to hide the pedal cable. Otherwise, it's great.

This was broken on arrival; one of the speakers doesn't work causing the volume to be extremely low and none of the lower keys to make a sound. I called customer support and they seemed to be responsive, saying they have ordered new parts and are dispatching a technician, but so far it has be 7 days and I've received no ETA. I will update this review when/if the technician fixes the issue, but until then, 2 stars. On the plus side, it looks really nice and the keys play well.

Comments about Suzuki MDG-300 Black Micro Grand Digital Piano:

I love the piano but am disappointed that it has NO, zero midi control panel to edit the simplest midi functions. I've read that it controls all midi devices and I'd be very happy to hear what I'm doing wrong? Called Suzuki and they said that yes there are no controls of midi functions and will only play in the local mode.
