Comments about AKG Perception P3S Vocal Microphone:

I've been doing FOH engineering for over 20 years and doing recording engineering/production for over 35 years.
I've been using this mic for over six months and have found it to be very versatile. Although AKG primarily markets this as being voiced for background vocalists in a live setting, I have found it to be just as functional for lead vocals and instruments in both live and studio settings.
I have also used it in a pinch as a reference mic for an RTA to set EQs for some venues.
I've also found it to equal the quality of Shure mics costing 2-5 times as much.

Comments about AKG Perception P3S Vocal Microphone:

So it comes with a on and off switch so do musch cheaper mic.
I found thta this mic was just terrible for vocals! it has no power or feed back quilities I found,
I sing in churches all over the world and have had bad comment sfrom other singers abou this mic.
I guess its ok on being built good but I'd never recomend it to a friend.
I think its price for what it is couod be better.

Comments about AKG Perception P3S Vocal Microphone:

    I agree with phil bradley.
I bought this mic from a competitor and found that it is lacking gain badly. No power at all.
I own a Fishman loudbox mini and guitar side I would have gain on 9 o'clock and you would have to have the mic side gain turned up on 2 o'clock with your mouth right on the mic to get any sound threw it. It is not a good mic period.
