I run a one man band. Everything is plugged into the power unit. The on and off switching makes running my light show and amps, p.a. and other stuff a breeze. The switches when on are bright and that helps on a dark stage. The unit has a metal housing and is sturdy.

I use this power center on my studio desk, mounted on the top unit space, so that I can power on all my gear with the flip of a switch. I used to have to reached behind the desk for my interface and go behind each monitor etc. Now I just power everything on in order from left to right - 1, 2, 3.
It's a budget piece of gear though, as mine has started falling apart after a couple years of use. One button is starting to feel "pushed in" on one side, making it "lean." Today, my 8th button broke and the internal spring launched it directly at my face for no apparent reason. For the price I paid, I am satisfied with the use I've gotten from it. I will consider replacing it to get another 2 years.

Works as it should - (second unit), basic, but does it's job.
Does what it should - has 8 switched outlets - useful for led / halogen Lights - 15A fuse, only downer was no "dedicated ON" outlet.
[First one received was defective but Musiciansfriend (as always) fixed me up!]
Could have been higher, but it is what it is - an 8 outlet switched power strip in a metal housing.
Comparable pricing - I even got it on SALE!

I've had a pair of these for around 4 years now, and they're excellent for the job. I use them to control everything in my desk rack and they work perfectly. The only problem that I've had is that one of mine has one switch where the spring broke, so the switch is constantly stuck on.

Perfect for running LED light banks that won't tax the 15 amps, I also run a couple of par cans, and this handles the surges just fine. Very responsive. The rocker switches have good ergonomics for those occasional manual on/off sessions. It does not sit on a surface that well, really wants to be rack mounted, but then it might be a little too inside the rack with its lack of depth. It's rugged unit as well, gets tossed in and around with all the power patch. What I would really like to see is a front mounted master switch for the whole bank.

My home made switch box went kapoot right before a gig so I borrowd one of these from a friend for my 2 strobes, 4 par cans, fogger, Gazer, moonflower, cdplayer, and audio system and it ran everything amazingly well..Mine is coming to me in the mail right now. I would reccomend this to anyone looking for a good, small, and cheap solution.

I've owned a pair of these for a couple of years and they get regular use, both in studio and on road. They do what I need -- switch equipment on and off that doesn't come with switches! I don't use them for lighting, so I don't really know how well they work for that, but they do the job I've asked without problem.

I purchased the PC-100/A for my last spot on my rack mount. Its awsome, It runs my EQ, 800W Power Amp, Lasers, CD and Strobs. Never had a problem with it.

The American DJ PC-100A is a great way to switch your lights or sound equipment. I own 2 PC-100A's. I only have a few complaints...one is that on my older one, a plastic piece inside 2 of the switches broke off and I had to order new 2 new switches...easy fix, but a hassle none the less. My only other complaint is that it seems like the circuit breaker trips even when I don't have the full 15A worth of power on it...maybe that's just me though. So, overall, this is a good product with a few flaws.

This power center is great for a small amount of lights/equiptment. i have 3 and have only had a problem once while running 2 vertigos and a agressor at once. great for the month otherwise
