The ART 355 Dual Channel 31-Band EQ boasts a rugged, all-steel chassis that occupies 2U rackspace and fits standard 19" racks. I built a set of three-way mains, but my mids & highs were a bit more efficient than my woofers. This EQ gave me the ability to boost the 80-200 range and help bring out those bass-kicks the way they were meant to be heard (along with bass). Playing around in other frequency ranges, I noticed some sharp points in the speakers design, that was easily softened my lowering the specific frequencies output through the EQ. Drastically improved my front-of-house sound, with no additional noise or hiss. I will eventually buy another one for stage monitors. Great unit!

I wrote a review already, but it never posted So here goes again... I bought this for the Home Stereo, Rotel, Denon, etc...(top notch) as a replacement for an Audio Source 10band EQ. The Audio Source is a toy compared to the ART in every way. The old EQ made quite an improvement, but not on this level. It dramatically opened up the soundstage and brought a new level of detail on tracks heard many times. The music is tighter, crisper and more solid. The build quality is fantastic and the pics do not do it any justice. Musicians Friend shipped immediately and provided all shipping info the same day of purchase. great company.Thank you very much.Gene T.

I replaced an Audio Source EQ200 10 band EQ that I have had for about 6 years. It has done well..and sounded great....I thought! I have high end equipment...a Rotel 380 wpc Amp and a Denon Pre-Amp connected using the RCA inputs/outputs I have been very pleased with the sound to say the least. I was skeptical ordering this EQ....however.....I wish I had done it a long time ago! There is ZERO comparison in build quality or sound. The ART EQ is far superior in every way. Having 1/3 octave adjustability zereos in your equipmment to say the very least. The sound stage is far superior....about 30% more open. The details and crispness are simply on another level. Overall sound is fuller, even though the Gains are set to flat. (overal loudness the same even when EQ is bypassed) I hear several new instruments / tracks in the same music that I have heard many many times. I am very, very suprised with the huge overall sound improvement. I simply did not expect this much gain. Not to knock my old Audiosource.....but it resembles, feels and sounds like a toy compared to this ART355.
At this price....it is simply a no-brainer....and one of the best values on the Web!
I have seen some negative reveiws....my guess is that they either did not understand the high/low frequency filters, or just got a bad unit. Every manufacturer on this planet has lemons.....just the nature of life. This Eq is not a lemon. If you need and demand superior sound...you need this EQ. God Bless...Gene T.

I bought this unit hoping to get some tighter eq on some guitar tracks, but there was so much signal degradation, I sent it back after one day. Each channel has a bypass switch that allows you to listen to the track with or without EQ. With this unit on, it sounded like someone threw a wet blanket over the guitar amp. It took a crisp bright guitar track and turned it into a dull lifeless replica. I don't know if I got a bad one, or what, but I wouldn't recommend based on my experience.

The ART 355 is a very good eq at an outstanding price. I especially like the high and low pass filters. One negative to note is the fact that due to chassis screws on the outside of the body, this EQ will not go into a SKB ATA rack. Please note I'm refering to the 4 space that I own (it hits on the inside of the handles). This unit includes all types of ins and outs (RCA, TRS 1/4" and XLR, so it will handle all needs from DJ to pro sound. I own a few of them and am well pleased. I also own a couple Rane ME60's and the ART355 performs as well at a fraction of the price.
