When I opened the box I saw an absolutely gorgeous microphone... I HAD to have it. I took home my new toy and have absolutely LOVED it ever since. I will be buying more of these to replace my 57's and my i5's.When compared to a Shure SM57, this mic has a tighter and more controlled low end, with the presence peak situated higher up, around 2-4k. This mic is absolutely wonderful, EVERYTHING I've stuck it on has sounded fantastic, and much prefer this mic to the Audix i5 and the Shure SM57 on everything I've tried. This is THE best snare mic I've used, and sounds phenomenal on guitar cabs, toms, sax/horns/whatever... it's a workhorse.I love to collect mics and I LOVE this mic. This is my new go-to mic.

I was able to get this mic from a local store for quite cheap.I figured what the hey I can always sell it o the Bay if I don't like it.Well my frineds I have to say it's a fantastic Guitar mic. Very true to your actual sound. Very little coloration, if anything it cuts the whispy ultra highs.Then I tried it as a snare mic, great job. Keeps all the body and snap of the snare.more I use it the more I think I need another one for the "mic chest".If your looking at a "57" do yourself a favor and go with this, you won't be sorry.
