Comments about Audix Fireball-V Harmonica Microphone:
This mic is perfct for harmonica. High sounds are clear no distortion. Could use an on off switch
But the volume control works very well.
Comments about Audix Fireball-V Harmonica Microphone:
Feedback has always been a nagging problem while playing blues harp with bands in public venues such as bars, restaurants, festivals. I had to keep my amp volume low to avoid the feedback. Someone recommended the Audix Fireball V and I bought one. I immediately found I could turn the volume on my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp a few notches higher without getting that annoying, screechy feedback. With my other mics -- Hohner's Astatic JT-30 clone, and Shure's Green Bullet -- feedback forced me to keep my amp volume down to a point where I'd be blown off stage by bigger guitar amps. The Audix mic also is lightweight, and cups well. My bullet mics have been retired to the bottom of my gear case.
Comments about Audix Fireball-V Harmonica Microphone:
I have used this mic for over a year and have come to really love it. Sturdy construction well made comfortable to hold and cup with a harp.Havn't had any issues with it so far. I have been in another rock , blues, country band for almost a year now. Recording and gigging with this mic has been a success. I was using a green bullet for blues thru a tube amp with good results but some thing was missing. I discovered I can still get that fat blues tone and tube break up all blues players lust for with this mic ran thru my vintage tube amp plus I have this clarity I never had before with less feed back. I will admit the green bullet sounded better thru a Hohner HooDoo box amp. But this amp I'm using now loves the FireBall. Looks like the bullet just got bumped back to 2nd place.Give this mic a chance I done't think you'll be sorry!
Comments about Audix Fireball-V Harmonica Microphone:
I have been a front man / harp player in rock bands for 25 years. My sound was a Green Bullet and a tube combo amp. I bought this mic because it claimed to have low feedback, easy to control the volume knob, looked comfortable and it was priced right. I've been looking for something like this for quite some time. I have played out with this mic for 4 months now with very good results. Two thumbs up from my sound man. How long it lasts? I will soon find out.
Comments about Audix Fireball-V Harmonica Microphone:
Having owned several harp mics, I was looking for something different than the usual green bullet or retro style harp mics. The fireball is different in regards to tone and quality. It gives nice high frequencies and solid mid frequency tones. It provides crisp, clean sounds with most amp setups, including right through sound board. It takes little eq adjustments to bring out bright punchy leads. Volume control is a plus and it works well with a good preamp and compressor. It is easy to produce hand wha wha's with and just plain feels good in your hand. It feels lite in your hands not bulky like the bullets do. The more I use it the more I like it. You will too. Give it a try. Happy Harping.
