Behringer

1600W 20-channel powered mixer with dual multi-FX processor and FBQ Feedback Detection System.

The Behringer EUROPOWER PMP6000 Powered Mixer (2 x 800W stereo, 1600W bridged mode) produces even more power than previous mixers while maintaining famously low weight and high efficiency. The Behringer EUROPOWER PMP6000 mixer employs Class-D technology including a switch-mode power supply, significantly reducing weight and heat. The 20-Channel Behringer PMP6000 features 12 built-in XENYX mic preamps, 2 studio-grade 24-bit FX processors with 100 presets, and FBQ Feedback Detection.

What is Class-D Technology?
Instead of operating relatively continuously like Class AB circuits, Class-D amps switch on and off thousands of times per second, delivering power only when needed. In other words, the amplifier is either fully on or fully off, which significantly reduces power losses from the output devices given off as heat. Less heat means the amps don't need massive heat sinks, and that makes them lighter. This no-compromise design means the EUROPOWER PMP6000 mixer will deliver full power with incredible fidelity all night long, without the need for lengthy rest cycles.

When used in conjunction with switching-mode power supplies, which don't require huge and heavy transformers, Behringer's Class-D amplifiers provide tremendous dynamic punch and superior fidelity. The resulting speaker systems are much lighter, making them easy to transport and set up.

Massive Mono or Stunning Stereo
EUROPOWER PMP6000 gives you the choice of 2 x 800-watt stereo, 2 x 800-watt dual mono mode (giving you a mono version of the main signal through one powered output plus a mono version of all monitor send signals through the second powered input) or 1,600-watt bridged mono sound. Whether the center of attention happens to be a folk trio, a speech, or a synth-rock band with mind-boggling stereo patches, the EUROPOWER PMP6000 mixers can accommodate. This sonic versatility also makes it an excellent choice for churches, where vocals and stereo recordings often share face time.

Classic Control, State-of-the-Art Sound
Leave the mic preamps at home, because the quality of sound that was once only available in the studio is ready to go wherever you do. Built-in, boutique-caliber mic preamps with switchable +48V phantom power make it possible to use either dynamic or condenser mics with the EUROPOWER PMP6000. It gives you 12 mic inputs.

Built-in Digital Effects Processor
The EUROPOWER PMP6000 comes equipped with dual 24-bit FX processors, giving you 100 mind-blowing digital effect presets such as delay, chorus, and reverb. Apply them to any channel, as well as to the monitors and main output. In case you're pulling double duty as sound engineer and performer, the FX processor features a footswitch jack for remote on/off. Of course, if you have treasured outboard gear you've grown attached to, the EUROPOWER PMP6000 can integrate them into the mix while leaving out the built-in FX processor.

Changing the Channels
The EUROPOWER PMP6000 mixer has excellent flexibility to accommodate whatever a performance requires. You get 8 channels for mics, guitars, and other mono instruments. Stereo channels 9-16 are designed to work in pairs as stereo channels, or independently for more mono instruments. All mono channels have 3-band EQ, switchable low-cut filter for eliminating infrasonics, and Clip LEDs to indicate when the input signal is too hot.

The FBQ Feedback Detection system automatically shows you which frequencies are causing feedback. Just touch the FBQ button and watch the red LEDs on the 7-band graphic EQ pinpoint show you which frequencies to adjust for optimized sound, without the feedback.

The Ins and Outs
Use the CD/Tape In RCA inputs to feed in external stereo signals from CD players or tape decks. The Voice Canceller switch eliminates the vocals from prerecorded music for instant karaoke applications.

CD/Tape Out RCA outputs send line-level signals from the mixer to a recording device. The left and right output 1/4" connectors can be used for a variety of purposes, including connecting more power amps. Connect monitor power amps or active monitor speakers to the Mon Sound output. Powered outputs on this mixer are available in professional Speakon-compatible format.

Small, Simple, Superb
Medium-sized events call for a lightweight, easy-to-use powered mixer. The EUROPOWER PMP6000 mixer is one of the most efficient, affordable mixers for the job, and is even suitable for use as pure analog mixer or as a pure power amplifier. With new technological advantages and incredible built-in features, it's easier than ever to lend exceptional sound quality to all kinds of public performances.

Features:

I bought this board for its price a lot of different accessories to put together on board but sounds good just need to take time and get used to it.

Quality:

Is very good

Value:

For the price you cant beat it

Overall:

This system is awsome. My first board had to send back had an issue with mains not working so called Berringer and recieved a lot of help with cs and was advised to send it back so called mf and they did not hesitate to replace board. but be advised call berringer cs 1st before you call musicians friend if you have an issue these people are good with there knowledge of the system and it helps with musicians friend. The board itself has a lot of features that are amazing. Im new to this style of board since my last board I worked on was a peavey from the 60s or 70s. The effects are great and it really enhances your sound. and another plus this board is very light a plus. it if you take the time to read the instructions they are very easy and will have you  playing music in no time. the main thing to remember is it is what it is so its up to the user to learn the aspects of this board. its not an arena system but for a small to medium venue it cant be beat. But just remember before you buy check it out this is not a fast decision maker. I highly recommend it for a band just getting started or a band that needs a system for travel with a quality sound.

EUROPOWER PMP6000

Features:

Loaded with features.  20 Inputs!

Quality:

My unit has performed well for more than 2-3 years - No problems.

Value:

I have not seen anything else near this price range for the features.

Overall:

This unit has been used for a 5 piece band in practice and several gigs without any problems but has never really been pushed.  I am not sure about the power rating, but I do think that the power is limited, however, it fits the bill for small\medium size needs that I have used it for.  I believe that I need more knowledge about the amp\bridged settings but all features work and I have been happy with this unit.

This is "the" Deal

Features:

Behringer has been shadowed by the big name companies but, if you know what you are doing when it comes to sound this unit will work for you. The Features are right in front of you & simple to use ((but, you have to have some knowledge of how to operate the system or know how to read the manual)).  I've owned this unit for almost a year now, playing every weekend in a 4 piece band... 4 microphones; Stereo Nord Keyboard; my Taylor Acoustic Guitar runs through this unit into 2 Peavey PV112s & 2 PV115s - we run is Stereo - more power than we honestly need to perform at outdoor gigs.  We never went into bridging the unit for the maximum power... we had no need to! If you read some of the reviews stating it has no power, they are playing way too loud to begin with. My group is comprised of 4 seasoned professional musicians & never once did anyone complain.

Quality:

I protect it when moving it around but, it's built just as good as Peavey, Yamaha or Mackie.

Value:

Bang for the buck!!! Here it is!

Overall:

It's a 9 for me because it is not the best but it is far from the worse!  We are not a metal band... we play good ol' Rock & Roll.  The only problems I ever face with this unit is that fact that I forget all the features it incorporates into one great package.  We've since added 4 Behringer F1120 Powered Monitors (which run great as well) and if we really need to push some wattage for an outdoor gig, the Peavey Main Speakers are swapped for a pair of 1976 Cerwin-Vega V-35s. With the fact these 2 speakers are very efficient, the Behringer PMP6000 almost asks if I would like to push it even harder!  I've no amature! I've been gigging on all levels for over 40 years...

Played a Gig last night using this mixer no  power at all I brought my Mackies 450 v2s as monitors and they had more power than this board in questioned. I have earlier version of this mixer PMX 5000 which I think has more muscle then this unit and still my PMX 5000 doesn't cut either have tie in an external power amp to be able to an average club.  Behringer rates their units in peak watts which is about half of the real watts. Don't spend your hard earned money on Behringer powered mixers because you will shopping again for system that will do the job. I just telling you all if had known this before hand I would got something else be and saving some time and money

Unbelievable deal - but major quality concerns.

Features:

I was dazzled by the features and power of this unit and seduced by the amazing price. There is nothing that compares to the total package for under $1000. Behringer's reputation has not been the best but I had heard they we're getting better, so I took a shot.

Quality:

The board arrived and we powered it up - no output from the B channel. We of course tripled checked our connection chain and reversed everything to rule out bad cables and speakers. The results were the same. The meters showed signal going to both A and B - but no output from the B power amp. Based on the A channel the sound quality is excellent. Very nice effects, too.

Shipped it back to MF and they kindly rushed a second unit off to us. Received the second one - exact same problem. Looks like there may be a batch of boards that slipped through QC at Behringer.

Value:

You can't touch the features and power offered by this unit for less than twice the price. If only it worked!

Overall:

Behringer markets a great looking product, however based on this experience, coupled with Behringer's poor reputation for reliability, we are returning the second unit and will pay more for a Peavey with far fewer features and less power. I have owned several Peavey amps, as have the members of my band. Peavey makes some of the ugliest products out there (just look at their logo), but I have found them to be extremely reliable with many years of trouble free usage. It appears that Behringer is mostly about bells, whistles and marketing. We gave them a shot and now we'll go with a proven product.
